Don’t over think this stuff. Make small incremental changes consistently over time. I don’t care what the name is or what fitness guru of the week is doing what because of study xyz. Unless you’re getting contest ready diets don’t necessarily have to boring and restrictive.

i have maybe 1 a week.
use to be everyday but not anymore
Nothing wrong with drinking diet coke everyday or even regular coke as long as ur in a calorie deficit ull lose weight ...during my cut I ate poptarts, diet soda, fruitty pebbles, almost every day except when my cut got more aggressive meaning low calories I had to eat a bit more healthier due to the fact that had to eat volumes of veggies that way I get full.and still incorporated diet cokes, but had to cut poptarts or cereals, only ate those at the beginning-mid of the diet and on every refeed day...I'm talking as a natty lifter...if I hoped on gear I'm sure eating cleaner is better that way bloods can be healthy

I don’t even know how I’d feel without pop tarts post workout lol. Pop tarts, 2 fatfree Greek yogurts, and 2 scoops of blueberry muffin isolate and a diet cherry Pepsi literally after every workout.

I use precision protein by hi tech. It’s pricey but it’s delicious and one of the only protein powders that doesn’t hurt my stomach
Actually here’s a pretty good deal I just found
Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals Precision Protein 5lbs

I just spoke w a diabetic who monitors her blood sugar 24/7 via a continuous glucose monitor. She said that she drinks a few diet cokes every day and it has no affect on her glucose readings and does not require her to modify her insulin plan. She is otherwise very sensitive and regimented with her dietary choices.

So, I wonder: as far as you guys know, anecdotally or better yet scientifically, do diet sodas have a relevant (negative) impact on fat loss (via increased insulin secretion, or any other pathway), or not?
Can Artificial Sweeteners Keep Us From Gaining Weight?
Sugar substitutes may help stave off weight gain, but they have metabolic effects that some experts find concerning.

...
“The idea we need to get rid of is that because they have zero calories they have zero metabolic effects,” said Marta Yanina Pepino, an assistant professor in the department of food science and human nutrition at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. “Our data suggests that they are metabolically active, and depending on how frequently you use them, some people can see more effects than others.”
...
The impact of artificial sweeteners on body weight has also been controversial. Over the years, some observational studies have found that people who consume a lot of diet beverages have a higher obesity risk, suggesting that artificial sweeteners might fuel — rather than prevent — weight gain. But observational studies can show only correlations, not cause and effect. Reverse causality may be a factor, since people who are more likely to use artificial sweeteners may gain weight for a variety of reasons, such as other dietary factors and lack of exercise.

Randomized clinical trials, which are more reliable, have generally shown that diet sweeteners help prevent weight gain.

Oh Fucksakes google it.
I don't need to use Google to know when you are wrong. You read some shit somewhere on the internet and now you spread it like it's the truth.

My GF has type 1 diabetes and both her and I know really well what raises insulin and what doesn't.

Stop spreading bullshit, you have no clue what you're talking about.

sweeteners in diet soda even cause insulin spikes in the blood which worsens insulin sensitivity over time and can eventually raise blood sugar levels.

also

...small amounts of insulin are also released before any sugar enters the bloodstream. This response is known as cephalic phase insulin release. It is triggered by the sight, smell, and taste of food

Pretty clear. This info came thru a couple years ago

Did you even read it yourself? Lol I can't take you seriously If you can't even understand the links you post yourself.
Expecting an intelligent discourse with Northbitch is kind of like looking for a reasonable thought process in one of these psycho antifa zombies who are are burning, stealing, and killing...or trying to find a chunk of gold in the Chicago Sanitary Canal....not a good idea.

Sweetener sucralose reduces insulin sensitivity | Human study

Sucralose, a synthetic sweetener that is a thousand times sweeter than sugar, causes symptoms in healthy people that resemble a pre-stage of type-2 diabetes. Researchers at the University of Yale write this in Cell Metabolism. Although the subjects didn't actually get sick, the results were so troubling that the university advised researchers to discontinue their study.

Without over explaining. Diet sodas are bad for you. They trick your body into overproducing certain hormones that have bad side effects on the body. Including increasing the size of adiposites. Fat cells. Due to the hormone releases they are also linked to type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, messing up LDL HDL. Didn’t read the comments before me but there’s my insight.

This is very interesting.

Glucose metabolism responds to perceived sugar intake more than actual sugar intake

The authors examine study participants who have Type 2 diabetes to determine whether cognition affects glucose levels in contrast to widely held suppositions. Thirty participants who have type 2 diabetes consume beverages that have identical ingredients but have deceptive nutrition facts labels. Blood glucose levels measured four times before and after beverage consumption show that blood glucose levels increase when participants believe the beverage has high sugar content as portrayed on the labels. Also, individual eating behaviors and nutritional satisfaction are linked to changes in blood glucose levels. The study results support the concept of anticipatory budgeting on glucose metabolism. The findings provide pressing evidence for the psychobiological model of chronic disease, suggesting that psychological intervention programs may be important for diabetes management, beyond current programs in which type 2 diabetes is managed through diet, exercise, and medications only.

even if they gave me dick cancer you would have to pry my diet dr. pepper from my cold dead hands. Sooo good
