Retatrutide Fat Loss Progress Log
I just wanted to share my review and experience with Retatrutide.
I started my first injection 4 weeks ago (Initial Thread) and wanted to document my journey, both for myself and to help others who are researching.
My main goal is to reverse my fatty liver and lower body fat percentage. I don’t care too much about scale weight — my focus is losing fat, not muscle, and regaining health. I’ve been “skinny fat” my whole life and never truly lean (<25% BF).
Last year, I dieted for 6 months and lost ~8 kg. Even at 30k steps/day average with a huge calorie deficit, progress was slower than expected. That’s why I decided to try this research peptide — to see whether it was me or my body’s biology holding me back.
Ultimately, my dream is simple:
see a six-pack for the first time in my life, while keeping my muscle.

- HbA1c: 5.6% → -0.4%
Reflections After 1 Month
- Waist reduction is dramatic (−5.5 cm / −2.2″) despite only small scale weight loss. Clear sign of fat loss and likely some recomposition.
- Liver markers improved significantly within 1 month — AST, ALT, γ-GT, and HbA1c all moved toward normal ranges.
- First 3 weeks @ 0.5 mg: very little appetite suppression, weight/waist stalled.
- After increase to 1.0 mg (week 4): appetite dropped hard, nausea kicked in, and food intake became challenging. Even got sick for a few days — but it confirmed the peptide was active.
- Overall: I feel healthier and more refreshed, whether placebo or not. The bloodwork plus waist measurements prove it’s working.I don't think its just retatrutide that is doing all the work but it makes the diet adherence so much easier and supports it in a healthy way I think. I am also very glad I didn't jumpstart it at 2mg per week or something or got too impatient as the 1mg is really enough for me.
Next Steps
- Continue at 1 mg weekly, monitor tolerance.
- Maintain activity and diet structure.
- Weekly weight/waist tracking, bi-monthly bloodwork
- Long-term goal: 12% body fat, visible abs, and normalized metabolic health.
Also shoutout to @Ghoul for answering most of my newbie questions in my initial thread!
Im trying to post monthly on this thread and answer all questions!
