How much money did Tracy lose exactly, if this is even Tracy? Good job on trying to use the "you can't talk about something because you don't have any skin in the game argument."
This is the internet, I'll post about whatever I want to, just like you can, until Millard says enough! You got your stuff at the cost of other members. That's some real honorable shit there. You do you, but don't think you get to stifle my opinion of you and your group.
Tracy's first public post after going dark included him reporting that QSC essentially lost a year's worth of revenue either due to seizure or attempts at staving off the operation...plus all/much of their production equipment involved was also seized.
Depending upon how you look at that, it's tens of millions of dollars. If not more. They were huge.
By "QSC lost..." it's not clear to me if that means the entire legitimate company QSC or the "export operations" side only. Probably the whole thing though, or at least the one location/division the export operation ran out of.
I'm not giving Tracey or QSC the benefit of the doubt. You purchased items that should have gone to those that were owed it from Jan/Feb.
Rebuild QSC, what a fuckin joke. They supposedly can't even read their old emails. They're finding old shit in warehouses to sell and I sure as shit haven't seen a peptide resupply. Justify your purchase however you want. Your joke didn't hit with me the way you thought it would.
Note that I'm replying to these comments more for an anchor to make my points.
Remember that Tracy, unlike many (most?) of the friendly peptides & oils sales folk, appears to be physically based outside of mainland China. Whether that means he is definitely not Chinese is unclear - if he is Chinese (mainland or HK), I strongly suspect he was educated outside of China. His go-to western language is French, and he's fluent in both French and English. Though...one thing I'll note, according to wikipedia: "In Hong Kong, French is the second most studied foreign language after Japanese." I've heard some other Tracy origin stories (guesses) as well.
So, while it's unclear where he is based, he has visited at least one well known member of the forum in person in Europe. Recently in this thread there was mention of an opsec fail years ago pointing to Florida as a likely location. Which I found amusing because...I'm not sure if anyone else ever noticed, but there was a residential Florida property address/phone number pair on one of the the QSC website's informational pages last year. I looked it up. The information back then which pointed to a domestic property...and real estate records indicated that the property had been sold already, last fall, presumably some time after the last edit to the QSC web pages where it had been included. Seemed oddly out of place. Tracy? Maybe, maybe not. Perhaps one of the other more quiet contacts people have spoken about.
Back to the point:
I say all this to give some context on why he has been operating a fresh sales sheet out of the non-CN warehouses and unwilling to discuss unresolved orders that were tracked in the QSC/QSC export operations IT infrastructure.
All of the QSC or QSC export operations IT went dark, and he has stated that until it is safe to do so, he cannot or at least will not have that fired back up, as it puts his CN-based colleagues at risk, perhaps adding to his own. My suspicion is that the IT operation was entirely cloud based and powering it up would be volunteering to give CN investigators damning evidence against his colleagues.
I lost (likely forever) several hundred $ on poor order timing in January. That being said, going further back over the previous several months I saved hundreds of $$$ sourcing from QSC vs. others. After a couple months of pining at the front door for my package, shivering in the cold wind of loss, I decided it was time to be pragmatic...it really wasn't worth the mental energy just to stress myself out over the lost $$$ and/or the lost product.
Notably I'm just an endpoint customer, not part of the logistics chain beyond me. A significant portion of QSC's customer base, one could say, are B2B customers of QSC of a sort. But...businesses deal with "shrinkage" all the time, right?
Lastly I really want to stress this is at the crux of my lack of anger over my likely personal loss: it is very possible some of Tracy's colleagues have been or currently are in jail or prison or at risk of it in the future. In China.
So...going balls out trying to recoup the few hundred bucks I lost seems small fish here.
To me.
I don't think I want to contribute to making the above situation worse, even for random strangers.
My loss, my opinion. Y'all might differ.
Crux: Tracy doesn't have the order records (because to get them would mean risking damage to the security of colleagues) and he certainly isn't going to believe other people's records of orders and payments, esp. considering all the scams out there in these markets. That's just business.
If and when Tracy can get access to the state of play at QSC's January lights out time, well...we'll see. Or not. But there was just no way with the above scenario he would have made customers whole without the data, and getting the data might make his colleagues...unwhole.
I can't state anything above is a known fact, but it's hung on the skeleton of information Tracy shared here and in the French forum ... and it seems to be the most likely story to me.
Addendum: if I had to guess, he likely had the non-CN warehouse contact info outside of the CN government opsec fence, likely for convenience since his comms to the warehouse staff would never be routed through China since he isn't based there. And the people running the "warehouses" out of their homes or small businesses, at least in the USA, were not planning to just sit on problematic stashes of medications that could end up being the target of CBP or DEA (hard to tell which is worse *these days*) raids, at least not without getting paid for their risk. So now he's paying the staff/contractors for their risk as he winds those operations down, and even then a couple of the "warehouses" clearly had some sort of property controller issues and had to be moved. He can operate with and wind down the current target-country/economic zone product sales and put some money where it needs to go for whatever future things he has planned (with or without us).
Meanwhile, the market goes on elsewhere.
