Diet wasent to bad but was probably around 800-1000

calories a day va normal 3500

Was weighting in around 199 pounds and left at 180.

So cut about 20 pounds and feeling small. Any insight what to do to regain and out back on the mass,?

Assume need to get back into the gym slowly and take my time. Appriciate everyone's help and input, as I am very depressed currently and not happy about it

Will muscle memory come into play? Regain is quicker Then simply gaining?

I'm betting the majority of that was just fluid/glycogen, especially at that low of an intake. You might have lost way less muscle than you think. There is no other path but forward. You need more calories 800-1000 though. Unless you're a midget... you didn't specify.

I’m back to 3000 daily right now… slowly getting back, and will ease into the gyM

I bet it'll come back fast, and you'll maybe see a few pounds net loss overall. When you can walk around and feel that fullness in your muscles again, it'll go a long way to making you feel better. It's a mental thing. It can hit your confidence a bit when you're depleted, but it's totally temporary as long as you keep eating.
