Well, as a "small business owner" I can honestly say that my business benefitted greatly from his tax breaks. I could have taken this money for myself as a nice bonus, but I chose to re-invest it into my business.
1) We put in a fume scrubber to ensure that our employees enjoy the cleanest possible air in their work stations. This ran about $50K, and we purchased it from an American company in our state. We had to hire electricians to wire this beast in...electric bill came to a little less than $10K. We also hired local plumbers to run all the plumbing and pipework....ab out $10-12K.
2) We bought 2 new box trailers ($28K each) from a local truck/trailer plant to help our deliveries run more efficiently.
3) We also bought 2 new truck chassis to have new tanks mounted on them. Each chassis was about $60K and we bought them from a local distributor as well.
4) Typically, we lay off about 15 truck drivers in our off season. Howeve, this year we were able to keep 12 of those guys...so they are able to keep a paycheck and their insurance.
Basically, Bush and his tax policies enabled us to better our company by saving us money. In return, we dumped that money right back into the market place at the local lever....thus stimulating the local/national economies.
I also agree personally with Bush on gun laws/rights (kerry is a phony here), gay marriage (although I do not agree wiht a constitutional amendment to do ban it), abortion, and the war on terror. But, I vote what is best for my family, my business, and myself.....and we always do better when a Republican is in office. Clinton damn near bankrupt my family's businesses.
Now, why do you SUPPORT Kerry and why is he better based on his past record??? And don't say "he's not Bush". I wanna know why YOU support kerry.

Bottom line is the average person on the street. Everyone I know was better off with Clinton in office than they are now. Over 900,000 children in this country live below the poverty level. Thats what bush has to be proud of.

Let me tell you something. It is not the governments job to "create" jobs in this country. The government can help produce an environment that is more "job friendly", but small businesses "create" jobs...not government.
The EPA and NAFTA (both of which are Clintons puppies) are responsible for a huge loss of jobs in this country. I can tell you stories all day long about the EPA as I work closely with them on a daily basis, but I dont' have time right now. But I will say this: the EPA is driving jobs out of this country faster than anything else. Businesses can no longer afford to operate in this country.
plus, the American consumer bitches and cries about "high prices".......could you imagine their outrage if everything they bought was made here in the states?? OMFG.
When the American consumers start paying a little more for american made goods, american companies will quit going oversees to cut costs.
This statement sums up the entire problem with the Democratic Party. Regardless of who wins the November election, most of the people who vote for John Kerry are casting a vote against Bush rather than in support of Kerry.Kayz said:

Kerry's popularity is driven so much by the "I hate Bush" mentality, that he is likely to be a very unpopular president from the get go, assuming he wins. I think the democratic party is in major trouble...win or lose.
I don't need to say much here as Kayz said it all for me, but my main reason is integrity. Kerry did a flip flop on the war and pretends as if he never supported it. I've got a great video of him before the elections supporting everything the president did, then come election time doing a 180. He is one shady guy who has let his political ambition get in the way of his integrity. Seeing how he has did 180's on numerous subjects, why would you think he is actually going to do anything he says or in fact even believes anything he says himself.

Oh yea, and it's NAFTA's fault there are no jobs here now. That was a democratic bill. What is funny is US, Mexico, and Canada are all worse off since it has been in effect, and it was suppose to help all of us. There is another bill coming up I think kerry supports called FTAA or something close to that, that once again opens more shit up.

With the exception of the strict isolationists, do you know many Republicans who are against NAFTA and the WTO? Most of the people that I know who are currently against it are liberals/democrats. Any Republicans on this board against NAFTA and related free trade measures?Instock said:

I sure do, as I was responsible for about 5 of them. 1 of the guys was a worthless piece of shit who tried to pull a workmans comp scam on me....the other 4 are doing well. I have rceived referral checks on all of them. I gave all of them good remarks as they were good workers......I just did not have the capital to keep them all year.

Plus, companies MUST go outside the US in order to make a buck. I was watching an interview with the former CEO of Honeywell the other day...who I think is one of the brightest business minded people in the world. He agrees that corporations have to look elsewhere for materials/labor in order to keep the cost of goods low enough to keep the American consumer happy.
