Does that model have the sear box?
No I decided not to get the sear box right away, it has a direct flame function that is supposed to take the temp up to 650 degrees for searing. I wanted to see how that was first before adding anything, it was already over a thousand dollars as it is.
I grilled some skirt steaks on it that turned out great. Brisket is next. Actually kind of excited to try baking a pie in cast iron in it too... Saw a cherry bourbon pie recipe I think I'm going to need to do.

Honestly, I'm sold as soon as I see the word bourbon...
I was a purist with smoking for a long time... Wood burning offset smoker only. Needless to say, I'm geeking out over the set it and forget it setup with this thing. It's WiFi and Bluetooth enabled... I can smoke ribs and brisket from my phone at work, I love this country.

Those do look nice. I have been thinking about adding to my tailgate grill collection...
There's a new tailgate pellet grill by Asmoke that is really nicely priced because they're doing preorder payments to cover the startup costs of the business. I have been thinking about it... Problem is it'll take too to use it as a smoker and I already have a nice charcoal grill.
