yes they’re both antipsychotics but (at least where i am) are often prescribed off label at lower doses to treat insomnia.
mirtazapine- 30mg (doc warned me higher than might have opposite effect)
seroquel - technically it’s 25mg, but as it’s a PRN, some nights i take 50mg, sometimes 25mg, most of the time none at all. i honestly only use it as my last resort bc im scared of the sleep snacking lol.
it’s gonna sound stupid but another thing you could try is a 3d sleep mask. i got the one from manta sleep because i was waking up in the night & traditional sleep masks don’t block out all of the light.
Gpt says 7,5mg - 15mg mirtazapine and 12-25 seroquel will help, it lists mirtazapine as a better profile for side effects. Seroquel is a little tougher on sides (orthostatic hypotension, insulin resistance etc).
I don't know, thinking to resort on something like this at least couple days a week because if i keep sleeping like shit and train hard it won't do any justice.
I have a mask but not using it currently because room is pitch black. Obviously cold temps and using earplugs.
