I really don't know man I'm not dietician, maybe our gracious @Oregongearhead can break it down better. All I know for sure is when I cut dairy my waistline tightens up quick.
Same here , dairy bloats me . And Im a chronic cheese lover (xtra-sharp cheddars)
But I switched to Silk Almond/Coconut milk and the fat fell off . It was the dairy . I cut out the nightly cheese and the 2% milk and the real butter and made the switch . Dont have the GURD like I used to either ...win-win
