RMR testing / Indirect Calorimetry

anyone do one of these or dug into the science?
basically they measure your oxygen and carbon dioxide respiration rate and everything for X# of minutes to determine your RMR.

I have no experience with it to know if its good, or if its the equivalent of a body composition scale

$100 from a clinic very close to me. maybe ill check it out and compare it against common sense and the more popular tdee/bmr calculation methods

i did one of those a few years back and honestly it was a total reality check. i thought my metabolism was lightning fast but it turns out i was actually burning way less than those online calculators told me lol. its super cool to see the actual math on how many calories you burn just existing but man sitting there with that mask on for 15 minutes is awkward as hell. definitely worth it if you are stuck in a plateau though because it takes all the guessing out of your macros!
