Race to a 600lb deadlift

First off... @Perrin Aybara goodnluck in your meet!

I failed right after breaking the ground with a deadlift bar on 600lbs.

Posted 405lbs× 6 in hopes of getting some feedback on my form. I can see my back rounds out and I'm not driving with my legs. Anyone have suggestions?

Thanks!

Yeah, you need to stay more tight with a better back angle and keep your chest up. Break the floor using your back and then maintain your back angle while your legs get the bar from lower shins to knees, and then finish the lift with your back. Back, legs, back in one smooth movement while staying really tight with your core and lats. If that makes sense.

Or switch to sumo.

Again...haven’t bothered to figure out getting vids here...bottom, middle of rep, top posted.

I round my upper back a bit on conventional, it’s not perfect but not horrible either.

I think the danger zone is rounded lower back. Drop you ass down, pinch rear delts, chest out, chin up right before you pull. Those are all good cues for you based on the vid. Maybe work on one at a time, probably start with getting the butt down and taking the slack out of the bar. The rest will probably fall in line.
