Race to a 600lb deadlift

Raw Rules: Chalk is obviously fine, Belt Allowed, No Straps, no Briefs, No Hitching, must lock out, must set it down for it to count.

My 1rm is 525 as of about 3 weeks ago. Looks like Me and MAc11 gona have a pretty close Race
Wait why are we setting it down? Would that DQ you in a meet?

By “set it down” you mean keep hands on the bar while it free falls. I’m good with that. I didn’t mean let go of the bar haha.
That works, I wasnt saying it had to be a negative or anything. Just Basic powerlifting rules, no USAPL bullshit

The gym I workout at I am a pretty slow down as they get mad when they get set down too hard.. I have seen them come give guys shit. Takes a lot of energy out of you doing that but....

Today was conveniently back day.
545x1 was my top. Didn’t push reps, just seeing what I’m capable of.

im not counting mine unless it’s strapless. My grip sucks. Today was strapped. No belt or sleeves.

Went to a apa powerlifting meet the other day.

Seen a 58 yr old 270lb’er pull 620lb for a apa world
Record. God damn that guy was a beast and of course apa rules so strapless and it was raw

Planet Fitness?
Haha everyone says that

No Fit for less which is by Goodlife. It seems to be a cheap version of Goodlife but copied all the PF ideas, lunk alarm tootsie rolls, pizza and bagels lol. I will give this gym some credit. You can aske then for more weight equipment and generally they will get it in time, the disconnected the lunk alarm. The manager lets you do your thing but if its excessive he will come give ya shit.

I just can’t spend money to go to a gym like that. Im not having someone tell me don’t make noise or drop the rubber weights on the padded floor. Those people can eat a dick. Even commercial fitness gyms where they don’t want you using chalk or taking all the plates are a bother. Fighting with people for the squat rack so they can do barbell rows with 75 lbs is not on my list anymore

My skinny ass will kick you out of the squat rack if you try that shit in a full gym.

Wouldn't work for me either. At my gym the staff is completely indifferent to everything. On one hand people do stuff like set up a circuit with barbells, dumbbells, and kettlebells and then just leave it all when they're done, but on the other nobody cares how much chalk you use or how much noise you make. And if they do care and complain to staff nothing gets done about it. So there's good and bad. I think at least part of it is the owner's nephew lifts there and he's extremely loud and does a lot of crazy shit in the gym and they're not gonna tell him he can't do what he wants.

@Worf this is that dude I was telling you about that is apparently immune to CNS fatigue. He screams so loud when he lifts it's crazy. I know the old people are terrified.

A couple years ago during the New Year's gym rush this chick was doing crunches in the only squat rack in my gym. I was really polite about explaining that could be done anywhere and that was the only place I could do squats. She left, but was a huge bitch about it. Was saying she didn't have to worry about people stepping over her or some dumb shit like that being inside the rack.

Agreed... I am looking at another smaller more BB and PL type gym that's actually closer to my house. The only reason I haven't pulled the trigger yet is i dont like their hours and they are closed on holidays lol
