Up to you guys doing it what the rules are. I'd say sumo or conventional and a belt is allowed. Whether straps are allowed is up to y'all.

General question; how long does it typically take to reach these numbers? For someone like me who squats 260X8 or benches 190X8 how would you expect someone to progress in their 1RM over time?

All that varies on genetics, diet and programming.. takes some people longer than others. My deadlift has always climbed but my bench press has always sucked for example. So many variables..

Would depend a lot on age, height and weight, level of motivation, how prone to injuries you are (starting to believe this one is a huge factor), genetics, limb lengths and leverages, etc. Also whether or not you train specifically for strength. For me deadlift has always been my best lift, okay at bench, and struggle with squat. I've been training specifically for strength for about five years.

I remember most of my milestones fairly well, so I could tell you pretty much exactly how long they took for me. Like I said deadlift came easily. I didn't train them for almost the first two years of training, but once I did I hit 405lbs my first month, hit 500lbs six months after that, my first 600lbs eighteen months after that and was also during my first cycle, between 600lbs and 700lbs was almost four years.

Bench I hit 315lbs within about two years. First 405lbs was almost three years after that. Progress since then has been pretty scarce.

Squat I hit 315lbs within about two years. About the same time as bench honestly because like most I neglected legs at first. First 405lbs was about a year and a half after that. First 500lbs was around two years after that.

455lbs... go for it I guess lol. I was planning on trying to max out next week.

Yeah, I have a meet next Saturday. Hit 395x3 last night, so I'm thinking 420-430lbs is realistic. But them I'm spending a couple months cutting fat, so I won't be making any progress again until after the new year.

I could probably spend time working on grip and have it ‘decent’ but I’ve fucked my hands up so much that i just feel it isn’t worth it when I don’t compete. I can pull probably 500 for a single, without straps.

Today was conveniently back day.
545x1 was my top. Didn’t push reps, just seeing what I’m capable of.

im not counting mine unless it’s strapless. My grip sucks. Today was strapped. No belt or sleeves.
