Quitting meat ?

I wonder how many damn carbs one would have to eat to get 500g pro in a day with a vegan lifestyle?

Let alone the 7000cals one would need to grow properly in a diet that is full of incomplete proteins

Pretty sure I'm the only current vegan on the board. Oh let's get this out of the way, I FUCKING LOVE STEROIDS! :)
And the the whole BB lifestyle..
Now as far as getting 500g of protein.
I would probably have to consume 4500 cals a day. Right now I'm at 3700 cals a day and getting 325g protein.
Myself only being 5'9 183lbs it would be completely unnecessary to consume 7000 cals a day. Not sure where that random number came from.

You are completely misinformed about vegans getting complete proteins in there diet, you need to do more research. Complex amino acids and proper nitrogen balance are just as important as consuming complete proteins for adding size and strength. Something the vegetable world has no shortage of.
 
Speaking of the gallbladder, this is the reason I just started exploring other ideas for my health. Change is one of my biggest fears that I can admit too.
are you having any specific symptoms or just in general?
I think I over did it this winter, I blasted heavy Eq/Test, squatted heavy ED, and ate everything that moved. Literally almonds by the lb, pbutter by the jar, avocados, lbs of rare beef, heavy dairy, my body just needed a break. I feel much better cleanin out the pipes a bit

Yes thats my diet to bulk. 7000 cals and 500g protein. Its very easy because every form of protein i eat is a COMPLETE protein and i dont necessarily need alot of carbs to do it. Because carbs are for energy not building muscle.

Now to everything i know EXCEPT soy based proteins a vegetarian diet is void of complete proteins. The essential building blocks for muscle and tissue. I cant think of one veggie or bean that is complete except the aforementioned. Give me some examples if you dont mind?
Dairy based protein such as whey, cheese, milk and eggs are not traditionally part of a strict vegetarian diet. Without these how is it possible for any vegetarian to get the job done

I'm 100% in agreement with your post - well laid out.

However, you're challenging a religion, it is futile. You cannot argue with people who find a leather belt offensive (if they're consistent).

That's a hell of lot of food btw - but you're a big dude. I need to stay above 4,500 to grow, and that's a chore. I'm off to Asia on a biz trip this week (will stock up on pharma stuff too, will try to hunt down some good masteron this time) and after I get back I have a couple months of no travel, will try to (fairly cleanly) bulk up to 220 during that time, I'm at 210 right now.

beans, lentils, chickpeas,seitan, tofu, tempeh, quinoa, oats, seeds, brown rice, nuts.
Also from high protein vegetables like broccoli, asparagus, kale, spinach, mushrooms, and peas.
There are many protein powders made plant based that are a great substitute for whey protein.

The key is to have a BALANCED VARIETY of these foods. The amino acids some may lack will be compensated with the consumption of other foods listed above.
You will be amazed at how rich in nutrients all of these foods are.

It is absolutely possible to build muscle with a vegan diet. It may require a little more work, but it's totally doable.

I wonder why anyone would feel the need to consume 500 g of protein a day. Unless you weigh over 400 lbs, that much protein is insane.

I dont know many serious lifters that dont hover around at least 400g a day. If nothing else its more calories for the wanted size
Its beneficial either way except the wallet.
But there is nothing solid to back it up either on your side or mine. And ive seen all the studies.
 
What you are not grasping about complete proteins is its not about how much you get in each bite or each meal.
Its about the complete consumption of BCAA at the end of the day.
Complete Veg Proteins:
Quinoa
Amaranth
Soybeans
Hemp seeds
Buck wheat
Chia
Spirulina
Now here's an basic example
Rice- not complete
Beans- not complete
Rice and beans= COMPLETE!

Peanut butter- not complete
Wheat bread- not complete
PB and wheat bread = COMPLETE!

Seitan- not complete
Soy sauce- not complete
Seitan and soy sauce= COMPLETE!

See where I'm going with this?
I could go on forever!
Then there is always supplementing
BCAA's as well on top of what you consume through food and protein powder. I usually drink 15g with my water throughout the day. :)
 
Personally, it's not that I dislike the taste of meat, I became a vegetarian for moral reasons.

I get that. That is so respectable. It would definitely be my main motivating factor if I ever did it. However, I don't see how you can bring 400 grams of protein in via plant based sources in a practical manner. Not calling you out, just curious because it's always been the #1 detraction.

Doc said my gallbladder needs to be removed. Off work right now, one day no pain nxt it's a bitch. Eq & test always stacked together ( not of late) ptbutter, dairy, beef, by the boat load through the winter til feb. I've cut back on dairy since feb. Still hitting beef and ptbutter though....

I havent eatin meat for over 10 years and pretty much vegan for 2 now.
you dont need meat for protein and gains, thats a myth. doesnt help there are alot of vegetarians out there that DONT know how to eat or much about diet and end up looking like shit, either bloated and fat from too much carbs and not enough protein or skinny from not enough food/cals/fats/proteins in general.

im generally the biggest person in the gropup or room and even get laughs thinking im joking when diet comes up and i metion not eating meat, due to steriotypes and people thinking im joking because "no way i dont eat meat" . one ass hole i dont even know was like "go eat some more meat you meat head" lol i dont even eat meat was my reply and ofcourse the response was "sure because roids do your work" : /
mind you he went home missing chunks of his shirt and im sure sore eyes, guy attacked me when i was working door security at night club and politely as i could told him hes too drunk to come in tonight...
it rarely happens i need to full out fight but it ended up with use in the middle of a busy street downtown where even cars didnt want to honk and i was in boxer pose deflecting and eventually subduing him. he was bigger than me high wise and maybe even lb wise due to high but deff didnt look like a body builder.

anyways i remember feeling healthier and less bloated in less than a year when going fully meat free ( for years i already cut it down because it didnt feel right to me in this day and age)
workouts and gains actually mostly came when i was meat free and knew diet and training better and it only improved, besides a medical thing that popped up last year and cost me size that im working back to, now that im good to train.

the main thing to remember is to get your fats in and ofcourse have a good diet. only supp i would say is a must if to add a b12 supp to your daily regimen. decent diet and adding things like fresh olive oil to your foods and protein drinks will take care of the rest.
i also like to use a old school cast iron frying pan for most of my food, it adds iron content to the food when you use it iv learned. they are more pricy than most but will last you a life time if used with a little care (dont let it soak in water over night. clean and dry when finished.)

libido and drive always stayed high and mood improved i feel, although i had alot of personal things happen that where a but shitty so its hard for me to judge that part.

Especially the save the planet rubbish - meat is by far the most nutrient dense - as opposed to shipping fluffy veggies from far flung places to liberal city dwellers thinking they're so f-ing green. Huge carbon footprint - to use your words.

Quality meat can't be beat - no dirty pun intended in that one.

Look at your teeth - look at the single stomach - at our eyes - we're predators. Apex at that.

But sure, if you want to lose bulk and look like crap - go vegan - the sickliest of all diets, a mental affliction to be precise.

Do you know ANY vegan/vegetarian that looks healthy? That doesn't have bad skin, or even smells funny? Do a Google search for vegan or vegetarian and bad skin as well as bad smell.

look up some vegetarian bodybuilders. .. going vegan or veggie doesnt mean you knwo diet or how to eat, you cant base this off of the douches that stand out in this area. then you could say all meat eaters are fat slobs, just because the majorty of people nowadays seem to be AND eat meat. i do think alot of meat is unhealthy but i sure dont think simply going vegan will make you healthy, you need to know diet and needs.

and to the predator part... dude we are not apes in trees or caves slinging shit at eachother anymore... being at the top of the food chain sometimes means knowing better, respecting life, lifes that cant or dont know how to defend them selfes and to also not stay desensitized and fulls of excuses like "well i need meat to life" or " but i liek how it tastes" to killing animals that feel pain, love, fear etc. just like your pet could and in many cases is smarter than a dog or cat...
if you wouldent make steaks out of your dog or cat .. then maybe thats something to think about.

my skin is better than when i ate meat and im generally healthier too, and i like long cycles and my bloods are always good or withing range even on cycle....
dont generalize something your clearly dont understand...
