Is anyone here taking metformin for weight loss or fat loss ? And what had been you experience ?...

It's been shown in studies to cause some fat loss, but I believe those are in mainly obese diabetics. I wouldn't call it a fat loss drug tho.

And why is a medication for diabetes being brought up to combat fat loss? Cardio and a clean diet will do the trick...

X2, or if drugs are going to be used there are safer alternatives. A diabetes medication can't be a good idea...right?

Hell no. I mean obviously diet drugs could lead to numerous adverse health conditions over a period of time, but playing with blood sugar could end in death pretty quick...

I take it to increase Insulin sensitivity to treat DM (type 2). Any fat loss i have noted has been dependant on diet and exercise. 1000mg x2 daily.
