I started powerlifting 2 months ago and I fell in love. My goals this year is to be able to lift these weights by the end of the year, 550 deadlift, 500 squat, 365 bench, overhead press 225.
Right now I can deadlift 450, squat 415, and bench 325, overhead press 200. I'm using wendlers 531 bc I'm new to these lifts and I like adding weight every month and the goals I set are realistic.
I'm currently 225lbs, down from 250. They did my body fat at work and to my surprise I was 26%. I'm currently cutting with tren a, test e, about a month into my cycle. Anybody with suggestions let me know. I'm starting this log to keep myself on track

Killed chest this morning. First time I've benched in over 2 months and I was pain free in my elbows the whole time. I've been working on my form with all my lifts bc I thought I knew how to lift, but I didn't. I didn't realize how much form and breathing are so important. I used to bring the bar down over my neck and I hurt my elbows doing it when the weight got heavy. Today I worked up to 3x3 265 paused bench. Could of went heavier but I'm following my program and that was my weight for today.

Powerlifting is tons of fun
My wife thinks I'm in love with it bc that's all I talk about now. Since I switched gyms last year and started squatting and deadlifting, I'm hooked now. I'm actually thinking about doing a meet next year just to experience it. I don't plan on placing or anything but I think it would be fun and not something I would normally do, so I wanna try.

Oh no. You drank the kool-aid, didn't you?

You don't want to power lift. It's totally overrated.

I mean, the addition of raw power and a sense of well being based in the belief that you could rip your adversaries limb from limb with your new found strength isn't really that cool. Having to move countless 45# plates around every work out, jeez man. It's for the birds.

Welcome to the dark side ;):D

I went back for 2nds of the kool-aid! I've always liked working out, but this is a whole new level for me, and I like it.

There are worse things to talk about all the time, you could be obsessed with crack cocaine lmao!

Yeah man go for it, i dont know if i ever will, but from what i hear the competitions are a lot of fun.

That was my old obsession lol I like this new one a lot better. I just want to do it bc it's out of the norm for me, and it's good to step out and try new things. Plus I live in the same state as west side barbell and I would like to see those guys lift.

Today was my day off so I went in and walked on the treadmill for an hour then stretched, foam rolled. I'm deadlifting tomorrow so I didn't want to do anything that would affect that. I'd rather walk my dog for an hour but she didn't want to get out of bed this morning lol my weight at the gym said 219 but the one at work said 224. I've been using the one at work regularly so I'll go by that.

Awesome deadlift day. Worked up to 3x3 395. I video taped myself this time bc last week I was locking out early and using my back to finish the lift. I gotta say my form looked good. Not great but good. A lot better than it was, I still need to get my chest up more but everything else was ok. My hamstrings are the weak link in the lift.

Overhead press day, 3x3 190. I can tell my core is getting stronger bc I used to struggle to stay upright when overhead pressing. I would lean back a lot. Not anymore, my abs are starting to become visible also. My back is starting to show definition, I love tren.
