I really like Modafinil - even at low doses

If 50mg of vyvanse doesn't make you feel alert and awake, unfortunately, I don't think modafinil or armodafinil is going to make you feel alert or awake... d-amphetamine, which is what vyvanse aka lisdexamfetamine converts to after the lysine is cleaved in your intestine, is damn stimulating in comparison.

The times that I have combined the two, I didn't like it.

Switching from vyvanse to moda is like switching from liquor to beer lol
This isn't true. Stimulants tend to make people with ADHD more calm. The levo isomer of amphetamine in Adderall affects norepinephrine and is why it is more stimulating (and even causes more vasoconstriction). But a lot of people can't tolerate it.

It’s just a bitch getting a prescription. Schedule IV drug (ridiculous). So much easier to get a box of 100 Modafinil 200mg tabs from India pharma for $20-30.
Sometimes you can be a very strange person.

I think the average person would rather pay $1 per pill from a domestic pharmacy versus $0.30 per pill from India.

think there needs to be more research on long term use before we make any definitive statements about the risk/rewards.
This is especially true when compared to amphetamine, which has been commercially available for over 100 years and is one of the most studied drugs ever produced.

Some medications are tough to get prescribed. Shopping for doctors..gets exhausting after awhile, ive done my fair share... In certain states, you'd need a monthly checkin with the doctor just to renew the script, getting an appointment alone can be a massive headache....

Thanks to really everyone in this thread, especially Ghoul I have fallen in love with moda. I think it's probably saved my life at this point on half hour to hour long local drives. I wouldn't even know where to start to find a doctor to prescribe it. Looking it up I absolutely qualify just in my shitty weekly work shift. Just don't know how to approach a doctor on getting a scheduled med.

Hey, my schedule is everywhere. I fall asleep driving but I read this stimulant is really good, prescribe it to me, k thanks

Just become a politician, lol. I read that for the last several decades, the White House physicians prescribe roughly 50,000 Moda pills a year to staffers.

I’m sure that sounds shocking to those unfamiliar with it, but objectively, it’s no more harmful to health than supplying those people 50,000 cups of coffee. In fact, it’s arguably healthier.

Speaking from experience, the average person has no chance of getting a Modafinil prescription. Most doctors never heard of it. The way a lot of doctors respond, you may as well be asking for heroin.

I have been prescribed modafinil for sleep apnea. I sleep with a CPAP, but it wasn't going well, so I went to the ophthalmologist and they diagnosed me with hypertrophied inferior turbinates, polyps on both sides, grade 2 tonsils, and a slightly deviated septum. Now they are treating it with sprays, and if it doesn't heal, they will operate on me. Modafinil helps on the days when I'm most tired.

Is anyone taking modafinil daily long term as a replacement for caffeine? It seems like it can be a big win with very few(?) downsides. Why the hell is it a scheduled drug that nobody seems to know about? Why does Japan throw you in the slammer for having more than 30 tabs? What am I missing?

I stopped caffeine 5 years ago due to it triggering anxiety. Started moda about a year ago as needed and ended up taking it every work day. It is absolutely a big win in my experience. I actually went down in dose from 200 mg to 100 mg after I realized it was just as effective, but with 200 mg felt like after a few days in a row, maybe I hadn't been getting the best sleep. Nothing devastating but could tell my brain was getting a bit scattered by the end of the week.

Overall, its a 10/10 in my book. It's not just the focus and energy, I get a long lasting overall mood boost and make smarter decisions. I'm doing amazing at work and at life in general. I have unmedicated ADHD so I'm probably getting more out it than normal people.

I really haven't found the downsides besides the sleep disturbance I mentioned before. As much as I like it I haven't found it to be addictive. On weekends and vacations I don't take it at all and feel fine. There is no willpower involved in not taking it, I just don't think to take it because it's not needed.

I tried moda for the first time the other day.

100mg.

Was kind of tired.

Made my ears red and warm, gave me just some very light pressure in my head.

Made me a bit restless/antsy like I needed to do something, but had zero motivation to do anything.
Maybe because I didnt have a "target " for anything.

Didn't get any less tired.
Certainly didnt feel like a stimulant.

Blah

Modawake is very smooth and a probobly the best Modafinil value at the moment. The lesser known brand from HAB (the Artvigil people), vs their more well known Modvigil, it closely mimics Modalert's formula.
I second this. Prior to Ghoul giving me some direction. I had tried just about every brand on PCT Zone and Mod awake has been a game changer for me. Lots of great info on this thread and it’s helped me a ton.

Yeah it feels nothing like caffeine. I've tried a few brands of moda along with armoda. The current one I have is called vilafinil. Always ended up back with caffeine instead

Moda’s not a physical stimulant. If you need physical stimulation (essentially a boost to adrenaline), caffeine pairs well with it.

You can paradoxically be unable to move from exhaustion, while Moda has your mind firing on all cylinders, an unusual combo.

Modafinil’s fine, but it just never clicked for me. Armodafinil though? Whole different story: smoother, cleaner, no jitters. I take 100 mg three times a week and it’s like flipping the “focus” switch: workouts feel sharp, mood’s great, and when there’s stuff to get done, I’m locked in. By the evening the energy fades just right, so I crash like a baby and sleep like one too.

And the best part? No cravings, no dependency, on the off days I don’t even think about taking it, which for me is a huge win.

I appreciate this. I've been contemplating which one to choose for a while. There's like 8 options lol

New member trying to up my stats (I just don’t have that many questions. I run a simple protocol). Could someone dm a working link for pct zone? I’ve only ever dealt with pharmaQO. Thanks. I apologize if this is bad etiquette. I can’t send dm’s
