Importance of HCG during BnC

I have used HCG on all my cycles. However thinking of it's potential increase in E2, and the convenience factors, I had some questions and would like to hear y'all's takes on them

If you know you will eventually have kids in the future or eventually come off in the years to come.

Do you guys still prefer cycling HCG? Or prefer starting a HCG protocol a few weeks/months before you're planned PCT?

My approach currently is 12 weeks on 4-6 weeks off (250ius 3x week), the thought process was to not continuously use HCG year round in fear of desensitization. However I don't know if my approach makes sense/is optimal.

Option 1 would entail year round or cycling of HCG during the year:

- I would be keeping my Leydig cells active and testes full-sized

- But in theory I believe it doesn’t rly keep FSH or spermatogenesis active.
So my understanding it wouldn't guarantee better long-term fertility, only a faster restart.
Also chronic use may cause LH-receptor fatigue and desensitization

Option 2 would entail to Skip hCG Until Needed, (so maybe using it during the trt cruise before my pct):

- So it entails Letting the testes shut down fully during blast/cruise.
Using HCG 500–1000 IU EOD for 3–4 weeks before PCT, or maybe low dose 250iu 3x week during cruise and taper it up during final weeks pre pct.

But the potential drawbacks could be I believe:
- Idk if recovery will be likely if I don't use HCG year round.

I am biased for convenience to go with option 2 but ofc I'm not sure how effective it could be and if option 1 is miles better.

The goal of this post was to gather's you're guy's opinion on the best protocol. As I lack the experience and knowledge y'all have to determine the best approach. Research can only take you so far, and if y'all would be kind enough to lay ur wisdom on me, I'd be grateful,.

I’ve always used HCG, even at high doses — 500/750 IU every other day — and I added HMG at a very low dose (7.5/15 IU every other day), plus 50 mg of Clomid daily. And I have to say, it worked — I’m expecting a baby girl in two weeks.

I’d never stop using HCG… I had been on it for years, and as soon as I added the other two compounds, my girlfriend got pregnant.
I’d say keep your base at 250 MFW.

I’ve been using HCG for the past 2 months while on trt…. I hate it so much.

I recently stopped to see what would happen.

The results are unsurprising:

1. My energy is back up.
2. My acne on shoulders and back are fading.
3. My libido has improved.
4. I can sleep more than 4-5 hours and not randomly wake up at 2-3am…

I was on 350iu 3x a week (monday, wednesday, Saturday), took test c on thursday at 150mg and 0.25mg AI on friday if needed… ive been needing it a lot with the HCG effects. At once point I had 7 lbs of water weight drop in 48 hours because my E2 was so high. It was bad.

I’m going in this week to speak with my Doc about it. I will report back with his opinion… I want to stay fertile as well but also not expecting to have kids for a few years and don’t want to feel like my energy is zapped everyday with this damn HCG.

Plenty of guys who blast and cruise don’t use any hcg and when they want to get fertile again they simply run a fertility protocol. It might take a while but for men there’s almost a 0,01% to lose fertility permanently. Actually haven’t heard of anyone who tried conceiving after gear and not be successful.

The only time I’d introduce hcg is when/if testicular atrophy is severe and the balls get so small they start inverting upwards.

My doctor who is primarily a concierge and fertility doc who happens to also coach some pros says he’s seen no difference in fertility among guys who do 10 week cycles of HCG every 6-12 months and guys who run it continuously. Only difference is speed at which fertility is regained being marginally quicker in those who run continuous, at the cost of dealing with the additional variable in their stack.

I cycle it. Have sperm frozen and good baseline fertility, not worried about regaining it when necessary.

Yea I think I really got caught up in the whole 0.01% chance and ironically the people who are in this category already have existing fertility issues. My doc was also looking out in terms of fertility long term but… I’m just not a good reactor to HCG. It’s reassuring to read that a lot of guys don’t take HCG as well.

I’m not really concerned at this point if i’m the 0.01% who loses it.. screw it. Rather be that than a zombie lol. The difference is night and day in terms of time to fully wake up and energy balance throughout the day.

I got the kids out of the way so no HCG and I never plan to come off testosterone. I did use HCG just to get pregnant and luckily it only took a little over a month bc running HCG just sucks. I did not like the feeling at all.

That said if I was you and wanted to have kids in the future I would bank sperm as it's actually cheaper than you'd think. Then blast and cruise without HCG. When the time came id run a full blown fertility protocol and if that didn't work I'd use the banked sperm. But that's me. I just can't imagine running HCG all the time

Seems to increase libido for me, I probably need the extra estrogen due to the primo
I use hCG almost exclusively for this purpose.

I only use testosterone at 100 to a maximum of 250 mg per week, in any ester, and it seems that without using hCG my libido is low regardless of timing or dosage.

I’ve never had an issue with high estrogen levels, just mental side , but i m not sure that is faults or high e2.. I think that could be a bad ratio testo e2.. never belive in this before, but now i m starting to considering it

I did a test with 205 mg of cypionate for several months without hCG, and my E2 was 34 and TT 1500
1:44 ratio

Maybe my problem is that the testosterone-to-E2 ratio is always too unbalanced in favor of testosterone? I’m not sure… I’ve done a lot of blood tests, but I still haven’t reached a final answer to this dilemma.

Did he also say something about the best protocol? I ve seen several, with front loads and without, and different lengths of time. But I am interested in what your doctor says, since he has more knowledge about it.

I started TRT (self-administered) 125mg a week and added 500IU HCG a week.

I can't deal with tiny balls and have to admit I feel slightly better on it. Def got slightly more oily skin but I believe I am one of those people that do better with higher E2 since I am lean. Higher estrogen seems to have some good aesthetic and cognitive benefits as well.

Its a peace of mind to run HCG to keep 'it' running plus pharma hcg is pretty cheap and easy to source.

How do you split your hcg?

250IU twice a week (500 total)

Right now I’m taking 25 mg of prop per day and 100 IU of HCG per day.
I feel a bit better mentally compared to taking a higher dosage every other day or twice a week.
My libido is slightly lower, but still there.
My erections seem to last longer though…
Who will ever understand all this hahaha

I m finding a sweet spot for mental health.
I m pretty sure that I Shoulder lower my test dose , but will see on blood work.

I think that best mental health will be with also TT not over the range of 900/1000
