I've heard that has a negative effect on tendon strength though.
I've read it as well.. I haven't seen any negatives from my experience and it seems to last quite a while. But I definitely hear you... I was tempted to look into peptides but seemed like results were hit or miss.

First time doing legs in 2 months today. Meh, front squatting 205x8x3 ?
I am going to look into that as well. Seems these shots last only a couple months though. Would love to squat again so been using a squat press machine and gotten 5 plates on it.
I hit 355 for 2 the other day. Raw, no belt or wraps. I should probably invest in both, though. Not sure how much further I'm willing to push it without that added protection.

Thats how it is bro, you have to look at it comparitively. If a persons bench is anywhere close to their squat and deadlift then they're not training squats and deads lol
I don't know... you can make that assumption a lot of times and I have only been powerlifting for maybe six months but I can bench heavy with no problems. I'm 275 and maxes based on reps are a 440 bench, 520 squat, 575 dead and 265 military. I'm pretty weak for my size. First time I ever worked a powerlifting program so we shall see. 2 months in now.
With the condition my knees are in I am afraid to squat again.

Thats kind of what i mean, you can bench heavy, but its still around a hundred pounds less than your squat and dead. It might look "weak" next to your squat and dead numbers, but comparitively its right on par. Same thing with professional powerlifters, in a comp they might squat and pull up in the 800's, but their bench is most likely going to be somewhere in the 6's.

I'm only hitting 230 1rm benching. 355 like I said with squats, and 455ish DL.
Form's good on bench, I just think my chest / tri's are underdeveloped in comparison. I've been really considering fucking off with this PPL routine and jumping into a straight powerlifting routine when I start a blast
Sheiko was a no go for me... blew my neck out and was fucked for a while... at the end of the day I have a 4 year old by myself half the time, 60 hour work week, meetings... 2-3 hours in the gym every session was not working for me either. Leave it for the young bucks.
I'm doing a basic wendler 5/3/1 bbb routine. Seeing progress and I can play around with my kid instead of being crippled too!
It depends on your terms and definitions. Yes a person at 150lbs squatting 2x BW is pound for pound stronger than someone 300lbs squatting 1.5x BW but in absolute strength terms, the 300lb guy is stronger.

-for me the answer is always never enough. I made some good gains over the winter but got tight in my hips as I put on weight, picked up some bad habits too along the way. The goal is to stay where I'm at while cutting from 235+ back down to 220lbs....without the drugs. Wishful thinking I'm afraid, but the biggest thing is I got to get back to the basics and focus on form. I'm throwing more variations back in now as well, got my work cut out for me.
