How long would it take to become a bodybuilder

So I'm just curious how long roughly would it take with pretty strict training & following calories to be able to compete on stage? From someone who's body composition isn't that great to being stage ready. While not over doing it with gear and jepodising health.

Something I've always had on a bucket list but never been strict enough especially the past few years and just wondering is being 29 to late now?

It is never too late to start bodybuilding and working towards the stage. There is even a masters 50+ class so you still got plenty years to go. You can even compete at 80 if you want to.

Here, the initial data probably matters, how a person trained and what kind of sports base he has. And so 29 is not too late.

Dropping all bodyfat takes 8 weeks maximum so theoretically you can compete on stage within 2 months.

However, having enough muscle to actually look good and get noticed takes decades of hard work.

3-5 years minimum.

Over 10 years for muscle maturity.

I'm around 22% bodyfat now which I'm in the process of reducing, I'm currently gear free for 4 years but on the lower side of test and have crashed E2 so make things a little tougher.

I'm hoping to run a cycle in around 8-10 weeks if everything goes well with the other half catching as we are in the process of trying for a baby! So trying to utilise this time to get my bodyfat down and then start the bulking phase which is 100% needed! I knew it wouldn't be an overnight process but just wanted to make sure I wasn't pissing in the wind at the ripe age of 28.

That's right, losing fat is not that difficult, but building a quality and massive muscular physique takes years of training and patience.
