But as far as a quality firearm goes the FN SCAR-17 is a perfect war machine. That's why army SF, navy SEALs, marine recon, etc all use them.
I meant no offense. I was only comparing stock firearms. Yes, I agree you can customize pretty much any firearm & make it look badass. And you my friend have a badass looking AK. All the ones I've owned are bone stock old wooden stock AKs, & I didn't care for them.

It's all good man. I get touchy when people talk about AKs being cheap lol. If you buy a Romanian AK you're gonna get a hunk of shit. WASR 10s are garbage rifles. Canted sights, the mags wobble, the bolt carrier rattles, they're just stamped sheet metal pieces of junk.
Then you have quality AKs like the Arsenal SAM7. Beautiful finish, solid lockup, zero rattle, action smooth as glass, tack driver accurate, and the receiver is built out of a block of CNC milled steel.
The two rifles aren't even comparable in terms of quality but too often somebody has experience with a cheap POS and assumes that's what AKs are all about. I've owned quite a few different kinds of AKs, AR-15s, AR-10s, mini 14, SKS, and plenty of other guns. But the Arsenal AK is my favorite by far. They're more expensive and it's for a reason lol.
You and I chatted about it a bit. Mine was the tactical version and it ran pretty hot but it didn't seem to affect the accuracy like a lot of people claimed. But I was only shooting at an indoor range so distance was limited.

The mini 14 isn't exactly known for its accuracy anyways. The updated versions are definitely better than the old school ones in that aspect though.
Yea, the older models lost accuracy after they heated up. I didn't end up keeping the mini 14, just wasn't doing it for me. Pick up a S&W M&P 15.

Compete with Heckler Koch VP9. Maybe the best gun I've ever shot. Carry everyday my Sig 3.5- 1911 -45. Cannot beat as a conceal carry. Gun laws around here are ridiculously loose. In fact they are about to pass an open carry WITHOUT a license. I don't agree with this by the way

"constitutional carry". I'm not really a supporter of it either. But as things were, anybody could open carry anyway.
I love mine! My wife loves it more than I do. I was going to buy her a snub nose .38 but after she shot my dads she said "hell no I will stick to the big one"! Good thing I didn't surprise her like I had planned.
