Elite Level Powerlifting Cycles

E
Lillibridge was endorsed by BSN. And everything you mentioned. They definitely aren't hard up for money. The elites anyway.

They Branch out and create things that we use and buy. Look. I know those are only a handful and the exception. But shit elitefts makes lots of money.

Outside of Arnold I can't recall someone in either sport being that successful.
All the top bodybuilders make pretty good money bro i know that for a fact. Even dexter jackson is worth like 5 million i think, he used to whip around in a 150k dollar Mercedes when he was training in miami. Of course lower level guys are still in the trenches but once you reach big stages like the olympia and the arnold you're getting paid much better than the rest of us mere mortals. Strongmen also make ass loads of money too.

If some one gets in to this sport whether it be BB, PL or strongman for fortune their behind before they even start.
Outside of our little clique no one gives a fuck. Guarantee ya that!
For most its not even considered a sport. More like some weird bubble. Strongman probably has the best chance at legitimacy for a variety of reasons. Its where PL meets athleticism. Most PL cant apply their skill set to anything but 3 damn lifts. These strongmen dont even hold the best lift totals in PL but they can do things way above what any PL can do. Applying the strength to athletic based events is some thing ppl enjoy. Even those outside of our clique, the general public. BB will never be accepted and neither will PL.

Organized sport is still the king of applying those skills. Football, basketball, MMA etc.

Total agree with this. Relative vs absolute strength. As I get older I see the new need for relative strength. This will allow me to do more and actually put my strength to use in things I do on a daily basis.

I believe besides many of us not doing the proper warmups, static and dynamic is one reason for injury and or nagging pains.

The reason being is we as Powerlifters are always working in two planes of motion. Weather it be frontal and sagital. Which makes us fixed into those positions.

In order for the body to operate optimally from a relative strength standpoint or just to have over all health and longevity. We need to working through all planes of motion.

I'm not a fan of CrossFit due to the fact of having to do AMRAPS with Oly lifts. Which are very technical and once form breaks down it could be bad.

I did a form of CrossFit in the army which was relative to our mission. And I enjoyed. No Oly lifts. Just balls to the wall, sprints sled down drags, box jumps, kettle ball swings, pull ups, wall balls, push-ups with a dumbbell into a side plank, row machine push-ups on medicine balls. Then we'd finish with 100 push-ups and sit-ups.

And thats what makes Brian Shaw so damn impressive
Hes 6'8 440 lbs and can move big weights in a coordinated effort over obstacles that are timed. Pulling planes, lifting stones etc. The man is an unbelievable athlete/monster. Didnt he even just break a world record rowing event without even knowing it? Yeah believe he did :D

On the money with those last two comments brother. The thing that makes strongman stick out as a sport is the athletic aspect of it. BBing isnt a sport at all its a living breathing art form. PL is just too underground and always has been.

Wow! I know the guy #2 behind Eric doesn't even take a third of that!
I've heard that when guys that take high doses like Eric while on cycle. When they cruise they cruise somewhere around 400-500mgs a week.

Looks like Eric is taking a nice break. I don't think he's competed this year.

again, this is what ive been told. cant really be sure. but i trust the source it came from. also, Eric is only like 25 and looks like he is 35. SR is only like 45 and looks like he is approaching 60. which i would say the heavy gear use contributes to.

and not taking anything away from your boy, he is clearly a beast and will do serious damage if he stays healthy. but he is #4 currently. couple guys jumped ahead of him after the US Open.

With what Eric has accomplished to this point. I'd retire if I was him. Maybe compete for another two years.

Then he can work more on branding, training, just plain old marketing himself to set him up.

Bro im talking to another guy on a different forum right now that currently has 2235lbs total and runs with top tier inner circle of powerlifters and he is calling bullshit too. According to him guys like eddy and brian are running something like 4 to 5gs max a week. You said it yourself your either strong or you're not.

I concur. Good friend of mine totals 2200+ raw and the most he's run is 5k a week.
