1st Bulking Blast Log

Do you train close to failure?
Right now I am training to failure on compounds, And machines. I didn’t write it in but For example leg curls, glute bridge , once I hit those reps I will continue until failure since the weight is light. Also adding partial reps. Other days I will drop set and rest pause to fail too. On squat today It wasn’t programmed by my coach so I didn’t go to failure since I have paused squat to failure programmed later this week.

Friday: shoulders/ calves

Overhead press 1x15 1x rest pause 1x drop set 30 reps 50kgs-down to 40kg Drop set 40-20kg
Rear Delt fly 2 rest pause 15 rep minimum per go to failure after each rest 25kg (45+ reps per set)
Angled fly 2 rest pause to failure after each rest (45+ rep sets 5kg)
Shoulder complex 5x8 7.5kgs
Lateral raises 3x run the rack start at 25kg down to 2.5 kgs
Calves raises: 5x50 70kgS

Probably the most tired I’ve been this cycle. Wasn’t able to use the weight I usually would for shoulder day. Didn’t expect to get so beaten up while running gear. Took 1/4 of an adex yesterday, first time in weeks, nips were getting a lil salty
3 more days no excuses git er dun bucko.
 
Note to self: stopped eating lamb/goat=Acne gone. Was not side effect of the gear but of that food item as a protein source. Too much fat in the cuts, don’t eat it regularly.

Where I live there is not a lot of poultry, lean meat selection at a reasonable price, so I was eating goat rather than turkey so I could catch a break from the chicken, but I guess I’m gonna be limited to chicken, salmon, trout, and beef.

Felt a lot of energy today no more lethargy. Maybe I am finally used to this split or I feel healed up Cus I had boiled pumpkin soup and an Oreo ice cream on top of my macros yesterday night.
Took some BPC157 to make sure joints and whatnot stay feeling good, overall feeling great. Weighed the same but fat seems to be getting lower.

Saturday: Quads

High bar Back squat 160kg/352lbs 1x1 150kg 1x1 140kg 3x1
160Kg/352Lbs lacked full ROM, could probably do it right with low bar but will not count it as PR

Paused squat 2 seconds in the hole (ass to ankles) 60kg 3x20 (had to rest pause 2,3rd rep due to foot pump)

Leg press 100kg/225lb 2x17 +1drop set 50 reps

Single leg extensions 8x10 at 27.5kg per leg had some knee pain during this movement so focused on quality of rep at lower weights

sunday: chest

Had a bit of junk food this weekend hit the slice of cheesecake with breakfast today. no more cheat snacks until the end of the cycle. I think my total over the past several months has been maybe like 5 times eating junk shit foods, which isn’t terrible. Dreaming about eating a fucking pizza for the first time in over half a year as soon as I drop to cruise. (Haven’t eaten one since well before starting my blast)

Finally feel like I’m making some progress on bench/incline bench which is my weakest compound lift.

Paused Incline press:90kg/200 4x5

Bench press 90kg drop set (50+ reps remove 10kg per set down to 20kg)

Cable cross 3x12 17.5kg

Machine fly 3x10 95kg
 
Monday: Back

Deadlift 100kg 3x20

Single arm rows 20kg 5x20

Pulldowns 20 reps starting at 65kg, then rest pause and drop set

Pulldowns 80kgs 3x8-12 with partial reps at failure

Good mornings 80kg 3x12

Weight 89.2, so this split and diet will not let me gain or drop any more weight. However I have noticed a loss of fat on some body parts.
Looking forward to my day off tomorrow after weightlifting 6 days in a row for the past several weeks (minus when I was sick) Gonna nap like a motherfucker instead of going to the gym.

On another note: can Anavar make folks have weird dreams? In the past I tried mk677 and my dreams were totally insane, since adding anavar they seem a bit more off the wall than usual.
 
Will start strength phase of new training cycle. Bulk will continue, blast isn’t over yet. Starting set of each exercise will be with 2 RIR, starting with 6 reps per working set to avoid overreaching.

Added another 50grams of carbs to my diet but still lost half a kg. Somehow I can’t fit into some of my pants because quads, hamstrings and glutes are too big, but I had to drill holes in my weightlifting belt because it was too loose around my midsection. this anavar is making it hard as fuck to gain weight. However strength is still increasing so I can’t complain. Didn’t expect to keep recomp going into this week but I guess til anavar is done I might keep losing weight.

Squats 6x6 120kg/265lbs
Calves 5x6 200kg/440lbs
Prone Hamstring curl 6x6 60kg/132lbs
Glute bridge 4x6 150kg/330lbs

No failure on any movements, will increase weights by adding 1-2kg each session there isn’t failure.

After checked my weight, went to the kitchen and had one of these sweets type of pies that are famous now for Easter in my country, i had like half of that, some granolas with coconut milk, and my usual break fast. I felt good and went to sleep again.

Damn that looks awesome, but yeah half of that in one sitting looks like it will definitely cause some stomach trouble hahaha. Maybe after the blast I’ll bake a pie too, doesn’t seem like a bad idea

Damn weight shot up nearly 1kg in day after changing workout Intensity. Looking forward to seeing how far I can push it this last few weeks of my first blast. At this point I’m gonna assume it will take at least 2 more blasts before I get to my body weight goal.

Got some bloodwork back today, it is required by my employers that I have liver, kidney and cardiac system checked, as well as BP checked. I was a little worried due to being on blast and with anavar in the stack, and I had just done some exercise and anavar definitely raises my BP, but it’s all fine.

Content with results though, in terms of Anavar’s effect on liver

Chest scan revealed lungs are good, heart and all dems pipes are normal, so there aren’t any signs of cardiac remodelling so far. No obvious abnormalities are present. This is also obviously good news imo.

Liver values and chest scans seem to indicate I tolerate this stack fine for this amount of time and anavar is not doing a number on my liver. ALT/AST ratio looked good as it is lower than average .8. I’m really glad about my tolerance for the sides at these dosages since acne has gone away and I haven’t been shedding hair at all. I think ED pins are the way to go for me. The only annoying side now is that libido is still too high.

Yeah lmao imo its hard to reconcile the fact that you can put in the same effort as someone else into a certain activity, but the outcome is different. Even recently up until the gear when I was training with my friend who has a worse work ethic, and eats whatever, drinks, and lifted less frequently/shorter than I did, but he could hit a lot of the same 1rms I had to work for from day one. Just gotta chug along I guess haha.
