Could have 5 one liter "batches" thrown in one pot or just one 5 liter pot. What we are trying to determine is mix/max/mean batch volumes for a given batch number that share a common API concentration. (Each vial in that batch shares common concentration since it came from same solution).

Moving forward, this is something that we should be asking of all vendors, along with evidence for it, ie an appropriate sized media bottle.

You are completely right.
One overdosed and one underdosed will get you there.

I usually filter all into a 100ml vial and send 1ml from it.
However i noticed that most people buying US Dom gear are adverse to filtering and buying new vials which is why i didn't suggest it.

For the CN threads i usually always suggest filtering+100ml vial because they're kind of used to filtering lol

Along with enforced standards on batch numbers, it would clear up any uncertainty on an issue like we saw above. Every vial with common batch number would share common concentration since it came from same homogeneous mixture (solution).
