Rekindling My Lust for Life: A Fairy's HRT Log

8 week feelz report: This is the most peaceful 8 weeks in…I don’t know how many years. Boyfriend doesn’t have to deal with a hormonal demon every month, I don’t feel depressed and insecure for no reason, I’m just…in awe of this whole experience. I’ve spent years of my life and probably thousands of dollars throwing supplements at my hormones, trying to fix them. What I needed was to throw hormones at my hormones. Bam, I’m like reborn. And between the estrogen and the BPC I’ve been on for a week, my elbow problem is basically non-existent already. Libido is healthy. Life is fucking beautiful.

One thing worth noting, my period has been over for a couple days now and my boobs are still tender and full like they get in the luteal phase, although I’m definitely in my fertile window rn and this is usually when they shrink back down to normal. This is either a temporary thing while my body is still adjusting to upping my E dose, orrrr I’m going through a growth spurt? Either way, it’s not bad. No real discomfort except when the man is pressing into my chest when he’s on top. A little tiddy tenderness can’t rain on this parade though.

Wish my girl was more open to exploring options. She tried transdermal t for a bit but gave up when it didn't offer a quick 100% solution.
Did she have her hormones checked before she did that? Do you know what her starting numbers were?

I can’t wait to start the T but from all the experiences I’ve read, it can take 2-3 months to feel it. I felt the E very quickly, however.

She did. I don't have the old labs, it was through some quack NP, and in '23-'24 before I started digging into female hrt on my own to try to help. She gave it a good 7-8 months, but between lackluster results and dealing with the crazy NP she just threw her hands in the air and is reluctant to readdress it more seriously. I did convince her to get new labs recently though, so wish me luck with the conversation when results come in.

Ah. Yeah it can take 9 months to a year to really get it dialed in, and find your sweet spot. Add in a NP that sucks and it sounds like a disaster.

Good luck to you and please keep me posted if you don’t mind!

First ovulatory phase since I’ve bumped up my e2 dose and I have been pretty damn wired, enthusiastic, bubbly, almost like I’m on a crazy sugar high. Pretty fun, but possibly obnoxious to others, whatever. Estrogen is definitely my drug of choice these days. Since my estradiol has been at higher levels, my sense of smell has been absolutely insane. Maybe worse than it was during pregnancy? It gets annoying. I enjoy nice smells (duh) but some things are just driving me nuts. Of course, I’ll take a heightened sense of smell over brittle bones and brain fog and all that bullshit. Just found that part interesting.
