@Type-IIx explains the benefits of GLP-1 and GIP agonists like Semaglutide and Tirzepatide, as true insulin sensitizing agents. how they are different from other weight loss drugs, and the benefits as partitioning agents for bodybuilders.

I'm sure you've read a lot about Ozempic, Wegovy, and Mounjaro for overweight sedentary people in the mainstream media but if you want to read about the use of these drug from a bodybuilding perspective, read on:

Better too low than too high, though .75-1mg is a closer equivalent to 7.5mg tirz.
Ah ok thanks. Yeah I remember sema really slowed everything down gastric wise and caused a lot more nausea than tirz.

I've read conflicting stuff, some say to work out a direct conversion, others to start at the beginning dosage wise (0.25mg).

Starting at the beginning is unnecessary, and while it is safest from the perspective of no sides, if you've been constantly using 7.5mg Tirz, you risk GLP "rebound". at that low of a dose of Sema. You're already acclimated to significantly more GLP-1 agonism with that dose of Tirz the. .25mg Sema provides.

For a GLP "naive" person, .25mg as a starting dose is prudent, although many, men especially, get little to nothing at that starting dose, some are hyperresponders so better to be cautious. But you're not new (unless you've been off Tirz for over 4 weeks, then "starting over" may make sense.

Makes sense thanks.

I never used ane glps, im the type of guy who still at 4500 calories has hunger signaling and food noise, im so curious how tirazeptide would help with that ...

You’ll realize what a slave we are to a little voice in your head you didn’t know existed until it finally shuts the fuck up for the first time in your life.

The mental silence is an epiphany, seriously.

My 2 months on Reta has been a game changer, I’ll be switching to the lowest dose of Tirz and take it indefinitely; serious life changer for me and I’m glad these drugs are accessible to those who need it more than me (health threatening BMIs).

Long story short, I was also a naturally lean person growing up — had no issues eating “shitty food” and staying lean.

Getting into bodybuilding def disordered my eating. My food noise was crazy, always thinking about planning the next meal & perfect macros, excluding snacks/‘bad foods’ etc. I did a bulk one year where I gained a good bit of size but when it came time to cut as I was high teens BF, my eating patterns were so messed up and it constantly consumed my mental space when trying to cut. I remember binge eating “healthy” foods in the fridge and i knew something was wrong when a whole tub of plain Greek yogurt tastes that good to you lol.

Now? Back down to my natural set point with 2-3mg of Reta for 2 months and lean yet still muscular. It showed me what normal eating feels like and how much mental energy I can put into other stuff. One of the best feelings was a friend visiting me for 10-11 days and we ate out everyday…I still lost weight. These drugs give you the “skinny gene” where your body isn’t obsessing over huge portions.

Bonus: quit a very difficult 5-6 year vaping addiction with no withdrawals, don’t drink coffee anymore, less impulsive when drinking & shopping.

I don’t want to give all the success to the drug, it is a tool that finally let me hit the reset button, but I see no point quitting it considering the longevity benefits. Fuck the willpower, I believe in taking shortcuts so you can dedicate willpower and energy to other things; I’ve accomplished a ton more at work & my side business will all the free mental energy I have not focused on food/stimulation.

I’ll trade whatever health drawbacks the Chinese peptide dimers do to your health over my chronic vape addiction and 2-4 cups of coffee a day.
