What R U Eating ? ~OGH wants to know.....

Pics of last night’s dinner. Whole-grain pasta with pesto and a few shrimp. Great cutting meal actually, the pasta is only about 4g protein, 9g fat and 4g carbs per 100g. My 200 g portion was just 143 caloriesView attachment 350294View attachment 350295
4 g of carbs per 100 g serving, That seems a little low for carbs and pasta? hmm What kind of pasta is this? i just did some research and i "Couldn't find" any kind of pasta with low carbs like this, glycemic index etc shows different much higher carbs per serving?

Lol, you got me there. I checked again and turns out the label was showing the macros for the cooked pasta (it literally says “Wartość odżywcza produktu po ugotowaniu”). These are Polish whole-grain fusilli my friends brought me, and I didn’t realize that detail at first

So yeah, I ended up writing down the macros for the cooked portion instead of the dry weight. Dry product is of course way higher. I was just hungry and got way too excited about those numbers lmao. Honestly though, putting nutrition facts for the cooked pasta on the package feels like a cruel joke...

Good thing, becsuse in a cut? That could really skew your macros if in a "cut"

I do realize my food pics are redundant, but so is our lifestyle, Eat, Train , Recover and its a daily routine, But i would encourage Alll members to post some pics It kinda holds you accountable for what you eat and post, lol ;) (i nevvver post my ice cream pics) hehee
I got myself off the ice cream finally...took an act of congress! I eat 0 sugar dream whip, mix in chocolate protien powder and peanut butter powder...a few chocolate chip and freeze. Tastes pretty dang good!

Are you making real potatoes or instant? I bought some instant when we were talking about rice burnout, but I haven't tried them yet. I've just been sticking to plain pasta.
i hand peel all my potatoes, i use mostly "baby gold" potatoes they have the best flavor and texture, and sometimes a little "extra skin" from my finger tips lol makes it higher in protein,
