Great deal on Libre 3 plus CGMs

There aren't many CGM options here in the EU, or they're ridiculously expensive. Just got these two in the mail for $30 each, let's see how accurate they are and how the app performs.

Shipping took one week from China.
If they're accurate enough, they'll become a permanent tool in my toolbox.

Any update on these as I'd like to give something like this a try

Looks like they're available again.

Im not seeing $30, either way its all the same China CGM with a different name. Pick the cheapest i guess, It's the same. You can find them on TaoBao as well, cheaper with a different name but you need a freight forwarder.

I bought it on AliExpress for $30 each, and honestly I'm very satisfied as I find they're more accurate than the Libre 2 I had.

Over the past few days, I've worn both, one on each arm and the Aidex readings were much closer to my finger prick results (without any calibration). The Libre, on the other hand, was sometimes off by 10 to 20 points.

I also prefer the Aidex app over Libre’s. It’s much more user friendly and has a cleaner UI. The sensor is noticeably smaller than the Libre 2 (I think it's the same size as Libre 3)

Thanks for the reminder I ordered a couple more since I’m entering my push phase.

It's a clone of the Libre 3 plus with some "addons", e.g better water resistant rating. Not sure about the accuracy vs the 3 plus tho.

I also think it might be country locked on AliExpress, they don't want to ship to US

Be careful in the shower. I forgot it was there and scrubbed one off 9 days early damnit lol
Mine just came off during a very sweaty crow pose (knees supported on the triceps). I'll definitely get help to put the next one in a more out of the way location.

Upper back of the arm works well for me.

For anyone wondering, after ripping it out I discovered it's not a hard needle sticking in you, but a very fine piece of flexible fiber optic like thread under the sensor, It's like 1/50th of an inch that barely penetrates your skin. It takes readings from clear fluid just under the dermis, not blood.

For anyone who has had their sensor fall off, regardless of whatever reason -- shower, exercise, hitting the doorframe etc.
funny you mentioned doorframe. i was trying the Abbott Lingo out for a while and my 2nd CGM ripped out passing through a doorframe after just 2 days. really pissed me off.

the Lingo was cool, but i really didn’t like that i couldn’t calibrate it. it was consistently lower than finger pricks.

i’ll try the Dexcom Stelo eventually, but been the Lingo vs the LinX - the clone LinX is the better CGM.

Just submit the form and they'll send u a new one, no need to speak to anyone.
If anybody is wondering, you can find your last 3 sensor serial numbers in the Libre app, at Profile->About. (I had already thrown mine away before I found out about the replacement option, so I needed this for the form)

...that's almost psychic, I just realized I had this issue lol.

The numbers are on the box too.
I throw the box away only after 15 days.
If it hurts half way, dies early, whatever reason, just remove it and submit a fall out replacement request.

You may get a phone call if you submit any other reason than that -- i think they may be required to record it.

IMO, the ability to get replacements alone makes it more worth than getting the China CGM.

They processed my request in minutes. Thanks for the tip!

well i think i found out one reason i wake up so much besides to piss, my bg levels according to this libre3 says i drop into the low 60's four times last night, and one time down to 53 , nocturnal hypoglycemia, All hell broke loose at 3 am in the morning when the Alarms on my ipad and watch i was wearing and cell phone started making this crazy alarm sound, lol it was funny really it was kinda overwhelming trying to figure out how to shut it all down,,

Same thing was happening to me. A light carb snack within an hour or two of bedtime stabilized glucose overnight and my sleep improved.

i usually have a bowl of oatmeal before bed, i just didnt last night, i thought the big pasta dinner i had would be enough carbs , but not the case,

i'm really liking this cgm , its like a toy, lol i experiment with my body, with "stuff" to see how it affects the bg, haha i need to stop being so sloppy ,, ;)

The nearly instant feedback is an effective behavior modifier. Also quite a few surprises about what exactly does, and doesn't cause a spike. It's very individualized with some high GI foods not spiking at all and some low GI foods sending glucose into the stratosphere.

Also correlating glucose levels with mood and energy is very insightful. Wish there were sensors like this for other biomarkers.

Check if it's a gradual decrease or a sharp drop. Best is you are able to verify with a skin prick when you wake.

Sharps drops are usually compression lows (e.g putting pressure on your arm when u sleep). Depending on where i put my cgm, i get more hypo alarms when i sleep (and throughout the day)
