Also planning on tapering down to 2000 calories about midway through

Probably no reason to go as low as 2,000 calories a day at any point during your journey to 10%. And totally doable, you could do that in 6-8 wks

Also, by the calculations you’ve provided you are eating abt 80-90 grams a day of fat, personally I would cut the fat intake in half abt halfway in, but keep to 2,500 cals or so daily

Yeah I did the math and you’re right, but it doesn’t make sense to me. Ex today

6oz turkey sandwich 300 cal

8oz chicken 1/2 cup pasta 800cal

10oz turkey sandwich 400 cal

6oz chicken 1/2 cup pasta 550 cal

PBJ w/ 2 tbsp 350

The only fat content is 50 cal light Mayo from each sandwich, little bit of fat from chicken breast, and the rest from peanut butter. Not sure what’s missing but it should be around or under 50g no?

Not exactly sure because I don’t put anyone on diets that contain mayonnaise. You are getting 14-20 grams from the peanut butter, just not sure on the mayonnaise.

my advice is to include more complex carbs in there such as rice and oats. You have caloric control down already but I feel like the diet is short changing you.

It is Kraft light mayo, just helps me choke down some drier stuff. I know its not the healthiest source of fat but it is only 35 calories per TBSP.. It's macro content is just 3g fat 2g carbs. Do you think that will make a big difference cutting that out? I use 2-3 TBSP at most a day.

I hear what you're saying about the complex carbs though, I'm going to cut out the PBJ's to minimize fat and at the same time leave room for more complex carbs.

That small amount light mayo won't hurt

I don't think it's worth reducing kcal, with this rhythm you will achieve your goal anyway

I would advise taking animal fat from fish and beef and butter. And, ideally, animal fats are 40%, and vegetable fats are 60% (coconut oil, ovocado, nuts). As a rule, from such a fat intake scheme, the body reacts well

Do you know for a fact you're only using 2-3 TBSP a day? And not underestimating your usage?

You'd be surprised how little spread 1 TBSP does across a piece of bread.

Yes, I'm a freak and weigh it out, 15g per TBSP.

Revised calories to 2450-2550 for the time being

Comes out to

300g Protein

200g Carbs

~50g fats

Wondering if I should cut into some carbs and up protein even more

Will keep log w/ progress

What goal or problem do you want to achieve by reducing carbohydrates?
