Al Thompson is a self-serving dick! All this started in 2014 here in Pennsylvania. Under the guise that youth see their jacked and shredded idols openly admit steroid use, he successfully got lawmakers to pass two or three resolutions introducing legislation against steroids. After all, we need the government to protect our defenseless kids because us parents are total fuckups. Thankfully they aren’t really enforced as USPA has “Drug-tested events” and “events” (they specifically don’t mention that they are untested) in PA. The smaller federations aren’t even on the radar.
He calls out organizations that don’t have drug testing to apply pressure. He’s done it repeatedly for the Arnold but also the WWE and the XFL.
I have no doubt the guy KNOWS what goes on, but he purposely twists things to suit his needs. In the video he made, he uses Jason Blaha (of all people) to link steroids, bodybuilding, and..... prostitution. Gotta sell your body to buy all them drugs, amirite? What a jack ass. You’ll see he claims in one of the worded slides that prostitution is rampant at the Arnold.
He knows politicians and this is an easy cause for a politician to ride because they don’t have to DO anything. But with the Arnold generating THAT much income for Columbus, they aren’t going to go down easy and they’ll have support from Ohio lawmakers.

That post was yesterday and I can't find it today. I wanted to see how it was received. That group has a pretty big anti steroid faction to it since they have drug tested meets as well as untested.
I want to say no... But, unfortunately, it's fairly realistic in my opinion.
Anti steroid lobbyists appeal to both the left and the right. They can probably get this signed into law. But, and it's a big but, it'll be more political than practical I think. They won't really be able to enforce it unless they apply pressure to the DEA in Ohio to start making examples at the Arnold.
I don't think it was this bill exactly but another one that was sponsored by most of the same politicians that even WADA pushed back on the strictness of the bill they had introduced. Think about that... The world anti doping agency thought these people were going too far. So much so, in fact, they paid $250,000 to a lobbying group to try and lobby for more leniency in the bill. That's the kind of people we're dealing with here..

I think it was this one according to some quick searches I did after reading it. Said something about multiple jurisdictions overlapping and affecting their use of whistle blowers. I guess harder to offer deals and protect them if other jurisdictions could go after them.

So protect the chilrens from steroids they might use when they get to be like 20 nothing about heroin where i live people come from as far away as Washington state to get the heroin they sell here in pa nothing about the crystal meth thats making a come back or crack god forbid you get jacked this asshole has way to much time on his hands
