well the LD 50 of alprazolam is 331-2171 mg/kg in rats...cardiopulmonary collapse can occur at dosages of 195 mg/kg via intravenous administration... according to the LD 50 it would require at least 19,500mg of alprazolam to have a 50/50 chance of killing the average man...please people when you dont know what youre talking about, listen you may learn something....xanax can kill but i dont think our bodies could hold 19,500 pills in the stomach

Dude, if you want the correct answer to this question go to your pharmacy and ask the pharmacist. I would say that you would die for sure unless you threw them up before they got into your system. For anybody who wants to know, I am perscribed xanax and they are addicting, and you can have both mental and physical withdrawls. Later, bigwil

I don't know why we are debating whether 100mgs of xanax will not kill you? Why even try to defend that it might not kill you? All I know is that if I saw one of my bros eat 100mg's of xanax I would fear for his life for sure. I hope the original poster of this thread posts that he's alright. I'm guessing he bought some raw powder and may have messed up the conversion and eaten 100mg's of xanax by accident? (maybe not, but I think the answer is pretty clear). All the studies in the world won't change my mind about real world experience: i've seen people after a hard night of clubbing (taking various forms of speeds all night) eat xanax to come down and get some sleep and all I know is that it doesn't take much to knock you out (1-2 x 2mg bars knocks people out cold everytime).

Physical benzo withdrawal is one of the worst withdrawals out there. It is one of the physical withdrawals that can kill you. A bad heroin addiction won't kill you cold turkey, but a benzo withdrawal can.

Sorry for the long post, but xanax is strong stuff and 100mgs is an outragous amount to take, from what i've seen, 100mgs at once will kill you, put you in a coma or cause some sort of permanent damage no matter what kind of tolerence you have built up.

Xanax...Oh the wonderful world of Benzos..
100 1mg tablet would do some serious stuff..
It depends on the person, body size, tolerance towards Xanax/Benzos
Whether or not it is combined with alcohol (which most recreational benzos/overdoses are)
It is a CNS depressant as is alcohol...
If you took 100, at once, with no one around
You could likely depress your body to the point of Acute Resp. failure
and cardiac arrest

However if you are found you will just get a 40Fr. Tube stuck down your throat at the local ER for the ole' gastric lavage....whee. Thats where I come in..When you try to fight your way out of it(if you can fight)

Then you are admitted into the ICU, are put on siucide precautions...and if you are lucky...
You will be involuntarily admitted to a Psyciatric Facility...YAY!

I would bet my life and all my wordly possesions that if you took 100 1mg xanax all at once that you would definitly, positivly die. There is no doubt in my mind. I don't even think someone could take more than say 25mg without dieing. It all depends on your tolerance and size but there isn't a person on earth who could survive 100mg of xanax in one shot.
