??Whey Protien??

The wrigleys issue is pretty fucked up once you know the inside details about it. Walmart orders a huge amount of product from wrigleys with pretty much everyone at the top level knowing they won't sell near that amount. They try and negotiate the overall order down in size but the walmart purchasing agents won't budge on the number and if wrigleys doesn't meet that demand they are threatened with being dropped from walmarts shelves. They supply the astronomical number to walmart knowing they will get the call one day that they are sending half of it back. And they are the one company that wrigleys supplies to that comes in and does on site inspections of their processes and nitpicks how they want wrigleys to run and to do things a certain way or else meanwhile wrigleys plants are some of the cleanest and well maintained you've ever seen. Walmart is a huge corporate bully who needs to be knocked down a rung or two

What irks the shit out of me about it is walmart sells stuff for a set price and then when they demand unreasonable discounts from their suppliers and they agree to it the prices stay the same on the shelves.

And then you have the great value brands that walmart deliberately rips off recipes and other things to put out an identical product for 30% less than their suppliers. So you supply to this giant, get knocked in the ass on prices and then a year later they also become your biggest competitor by introducing an identical product that was developed by copying your own products.

I know this thread is on whey protein and I've read all inputs on protein, so I have a question has anyone used grass fed bisen bars? I've heard great things and good weight gain lean weight..

Another great protein powder I use is syntha-six shit is hella good and its pricey but I found it good. GNC is a rip off, but I couldn't resist the urge wake up at 430am 4egg whites protein shake, gym hour and half eat 2 chicken breasts and all my other fillers and drink another shake and by the time I looked at my bottle for my protein powders it was time to restock because its like a bag of chips they fucking rip you off and fill it half way if that..such bullshit but what can you do...you wanna get big then you have to spend some money..

i wish steak and salmon and fresh tuna was as cheap as chicken and eggs and canned tuna jeeze cheapest i get a pound of lean ground beef is like 6 bucks and its never enough for a full day lol too tasty !

$6/lb, damn. I pay $4.49/lb for 85% lean and I thought that was crazy. I remember paying $1/lb for that (on sale) in college (back in '99 or so). :/

To the OP: I use ON 100% Gold Standard whey. I typically only have it for breakfast, though I will occasionally have it PWO also if I'm not heading home after the gym.

I am trying a True Nutrition custom blend for the first time. I placed my order and am waiting on delivery. The protein powder I ordered is a blend of three proteins. I think the cost per gram of protein worked out to just over 4 cents. I hope it mixes in water well. I'm not a big fan of mixing my protein powders in milk.

I have been ordering from them since 2007. Let me know which blend u ordered.

I'm a fan of MRM Natural Whey. No artificial sweeteners, comes from a clean source of milk (no antibiotics/hormones), mixes well and tastes good, and if you wait for a good sale, you can get it for under $10/pound.

Have stopped taking protein powders a long time ago, these days if I find myself pressed I just make my own with food and throw it all in a blender, is cheaper and of better quality I believe. Supplements aren't regulated by the FDA last I checked and with that industry being so competitive I can't imagine people aren't cutting corners and selling you Bs

Wanted to follow up on my experience with the True Nutrition order I received. I went with an egg white isolate (65%) and grain feed beef combination (35%) custom blend.
Positives: packaging and flavoring smells good/fresh, product was delivered prompt, per gram of protein cost is almost exactly 4 cents and the taste isn't (that) bad. All of us have different things we look for in protein sources, for me, especially in a protein powder. One thing I look for is low calories compared to grams of protein. I am getting 25+ grams of protein for about 120 calories - pretty good trade off.

Cons: Have to stir in water longer than I anticipated to get a good mix. However, IMO this isn't a big deal.

I make the same thing from them. I went to a 50/50 ratio though. Eggwhite gives it a salty taste

Both beef and egg white r super high in sodium. Plus the mix gets gritty when u go with beef over 30% of the mix.

Besides some of their pre made mixes. I like the egg beef and rice protein at equal percentages

You are 100% correct. I sweat my ass off after drinking that much sodium. And it's almost like swallowing sand but I have watched what switching to that mix has done for my body and I'm liking it

I do a mix of Hydrolyzed casein and whey isolate cold filtration. 50/50 mix

Next time I'm thinking of doing a highly branched cyclic dextrin and hydrolyzed casein mix. 50/50 and drinking it pre work out.

Trying Dioxyme New Zealand whey this go around. 30g per serving @ 60 serving. good amiNo profile. But like what has already been stated I prefer food I guess that's why there called supplement s and not replacement s.

I like 70-80% debitterized hydro whey and 20-30% pepto pro of casein hydro. I use this always pwo as well as in the morning if I work out on a empty stomach. I take this mix pre wo.
