What’s your first meal of the day ??

Just curious when you guys are on a time crunch or when you wake up early enough to throw together REAL food what’s your go to first meal?

Just looking for new ideas/combinations...

Today for myself since I had a little extra time from my gf being loud as fucking Sasquatch getting ready for work I mixed it up a bit from my normal shake:

1 everything bagel
2 whole eggs
1oz mozzarella cheese
2tbsp garlic hummus

Side shake:
2 scoops whey iso
1.5c blueberries
1/2c dry oats

It seems like you're all making sure to get some carbs in at breakfast. Is this a bulking thing or a constant?

My carbs meals are dictated by the amount of carbs I eat a day. When I’m maxing out my intake they’re in every meal. When I’m prepping for a show they start being stripped from meals furtherst from training first until nothing but intraworkout carbs.

So for you there is nothing significant about eating carbs first thing in the am? You only do it to help reach your desired number for the day?

Yup. I don’t think carbs first thing AM is beneficial to anyone who doesn’t need them there for that reason or who isn’t training AM. The longer you go without large insulin spikes the longer your tissue burning “switch” can stay on or can come back on sooner (insulin shuts down catabolism which everyone forgets is how fat loss happens too, not just the dreaded muscle loss).

When I shifted carbs to PM I felt better all day and body comp was better.

Thanks for the insight

Currently bulking 8 eggs with yoke on 4 slices of whole weat bread shake with 3 scoops of whey isolate an 1 cup of oatmeal mixed in with 1 cup of blueberrys an 3 cups of milk 2% currently that's around 4 days out of the week I like to throw some chicken in my eggs for breakfast sometimes 2

the last 3 months have been a little different but generally I'm into a half pot of black coffee, 6 whole eggs and a few more eggs in liquid eggs, some cubed ham or something of the like mixed in the eggs and 2 slices of DKB.

as of recent its been 1.25 cups of dry oatmeal, couple cups of greek yogurt, and a protein shake (50g approximately) and a half pot of black coffee

edit - pussy. always trying to get some pussy with breakfast. probably getting it 20% o the time during the workweek. Don't tell my wife.

200 grams of eggwhite + 1 whole egg.
1 tablespoon oliveoil.
120 grams of ezekiel bread or similar.
1 glass of lime water or milk.
Some sliced paprika or tomato.
A little cup with protein pudding (whey + casein)

Edit: And coffee :)

I definitely agree with your statement about pushing carbs not only closer to workouts but also pm. Body composition becomes MUCH tighter when doing so. I find that when I do that and for breakfast stick to just fats and protein it makes a huge difference. If I weren’t trying to add weight right now I may have only but a 1/2c dry oats with my breakfast in training days. Other than that it’s all centered around my workout (pre, intra, post).
Also, I legit FEEL better with less carbs first thing in the morning.
