What are/where your bodybuilding goals?

What are you wanting or wanted to build? Did you specifically pin point areas you want to improve till you saw it? Are you after a ratio or size number?

Curious to see what everyone is after on here.

Right now I want to be as big as possible without compromising health that much. Currently, in my training, I have prioritized triceps and neck. I don't look after a certain number for size; I go by how I look in the mirror.

Going for The Hulk look. Any inspiration for your build or just what you see in the mirror? Usually the night before my lift I plan my workouts by what muscles need to be focused on more that day as well.

You familiar with the crossfit legend Rich Froning? Now take that physique and add about 25 lbs more muscle to it and it's spot on for me (Although I'm not into that style or working out myself, I prefer bodybuilding)

I was just talking to my training partner today about our original goals. I couldn't help but laugh at mine. I wanted to be 170lbs with 15" arms and a 3 plate bench. Haha. It's funny how when you only have 13" arms 15" arms look HUGE. Then you get them and they look tiny. But 17" arms look HUGE. Then you get 17" arms and they still look tiny.

Tall with long arms, 17s definitely look tiny lol. Three plates would’ve been impressive at 170 though. I think we all started out wanting to look like Arnold and some got lost along the way.

when i started i wanted to look like Markus Ruhl 2002 night of champions.

9 years later

Absolutely correct. I still remember my favorite NES game Contra, and I had a Contra poster in my bedroom. They totally ripped off Arnold because one of the 2 characters looked just like him.

So I automatically associated Contra with the Predator, and this was long after playing with roided out looking He-man toys. Other kids were into GI Joe, but I remember actually looking at GI Joe thinking "wtf, these guys look more normal than He-man, that ain't cool"
