So to many who grew up in the 90’s and followed strength sports there was the strict Curl. Even then it was a novelty event and mostly done after the regular meet or on its own as an exhibition. Looking like the only federations that have the strict Curl as an event in full power are 100% Raw,PowerliftingNow and of course the ISCA ( international Strict Curl Association). Also some goofy organizations that do “strength Lifting meets” that have this as well. When the event was part of more meets in more feds
the weight WAS NOT added to the lifters total. The current world record is 113 kg by Denis Cyplenkov

In the spirit of resurrection, I thought it would be fun to have a MESO strict Curl competition. We have squat, bench, and deadlift member-member threads and those have been low traffic due to progress not being a weekly or monthly thing for competitive numbers(welcome to powerlifting). Rules are pretty simple
MESO Strict Curl Rules:
-Back against a wall, buttocks and shoulders must touch (just like bench)
-feet no more than 12” from wall
- no down ward movement on the concentric lift portion.
-wrist wraps allowed up to 1m, no elbow sleeves or cuffs
-lifter must fully contract arms without excessive shoulder movements and stop the bar in the neck/upper chest area
-Ez curl bar or straight bar allowed
Please video your attempts to count and list BW. No limit on attempts, keep posting if you want. Myself, @PerrinAybara @Brandaddy will be judges
