I think running your z score up to +2 is considered safe from acromegaly. Of course there are variances and tolerances that are different person to person- but the general guidance is that +2 is safe. It might even be higher, but I don't want to misguide you on that. I think I read something that Ghoul posted a while ago that endocrinologists change a hgh treatment plan if a patients z score reaches 3.IGF 111, z score -0.5
You have some room to run it up. I'm also in my 40's and started with a natty igf of 140ish . When I was takin HGH only, my IGF was 330 on 4iu at night. That was right at +2 z score. When I started taking test, I dropped my HGH dose to 3iu, but my igf-1 did not fall. I think the increased estrogen from the testosterone contributed to that. So right now I'm on 15mg test and 3iu hgh every day.
You might respond different - that's just how it looks for me.
start hgh low. like 1IU, then slowly go up in partial increments. The faster yo go up in dose, the more water you will hold and you will get carpal tunnel / numb tingly hands and possibly other symptoms. Go slow. Work your way up to 3 or 4 iu across a good span of time. Back off if you start to get CTS and stay at that lower dose for a while longer.
