Glycerine - wtf just happened?

I bought some glycerine since it was recommended for use along side DNP. I've not started the DNP yet but I decided to take a swig from the glycerine bottle to see if it really tastes as bad as they say. Anyway, it doesn't taste bad and it just had a MASSIVE stimulant effect on me, coffee...
