Nice job, I only got rubber coated so they dont get flat and not as much meat to grab without cheating
Interesting, I have 2 steel 45s and cant even get one off the ground... The rest are rubber coated,A single 45 bumper seems harder than two iron 25's.
Best one yet with two 25's.
@JetsFan you just want to pinch on flat sides and not cheat by gripping under the lip of the plate. Just pinch and hold.
Are you left handed?
I got 42 seconds today in between deadlifts with 25's... Thought I had longer in me but time moves different when you're watching it. Going to work up to sets of a minute and then try 35's. Those were tremendously harder.. I'm not sure how but, the size, not just weight, of the plates seems to play into it.
thats gotta be like 4inch square. and looks smooth finish. i bet thats tough to pick up even without weight. This keeps popping up in my marketplace on FB lately. Looks like it would definitely help with grip

i recently made a barbell using 1.5" iron pipe. has a outside dimension of 1.9", and i wrapped with some sweet green hockey tape. Does anyone have any suggestions where to find a 2.5" or 3" barbell? I know tds has them but i havent found anywhere else. just looking at options at the moment.
I've been reading the dinosaur training book and it inspired me to try fattie barbells.

ok thanks. i guess sleeving the bar I already have is a possibility too; just have to find a pipe with the desired thickness. All I know is the various brands of axle bars, nothing that fat though. A guy at my old gym whose dad owns a fabrication shop custom made stuff like that. No idea what it would cost normally.
I was thinking this exactly. Those old school sleeves from our dad's weider set should do the trick.ok thanks. i guess sleeving the bar I already have is a possibility too; just have to find a pipe with the desired thickness.
