The Firearm thread...questions, advice, range reports welcome

Anyone have an opinion on sights for concealed carry ? Looking at a P365
You considering a red dot optic compared to say fiber optic? I tried a red dot on my first gun, but returned it till I get better with irons. I have fiber optics on my Shield Plus, love them. Red rear, green front.

Quite honestly, will probably never fool with a red dot. It seems like it'll take a lot of practice time to get good with one. Lots of people love them tho.

I have one optic on my AR just cause I never owned one and I got a good price on it, but honestly I would consider them pretty worthless for concealed carry

IMO doesn’t even matter, in a real life defense situation that gun is going to go where your eyesight goes, no time to aim like it’s a target. Practice shooting with both eyes open and let the barrel go where your vision tells it to go

I'm on a few different gun groups on Facebook. Almost seems like a fad, Almost everyone posting their newest red dot on their carry gun.

Agree with all of that. Thanks.

To that end, I wonder about the SAS version of the P365 with no projecting sights - smooth surface on the slide

With the recent thread by @NorthMich about buying a pistol, I thought it would be good to start a thread. One where any and all firearm related posts could go. A place to ask questions, get advice, post reports, etc. Post deals on ammo and guns.

I've very new to firearms, just started 3 months ago in my early 40s. Been to the range 3 times, I didn't do very well today. I've been doing a ton of research, slowly learning. I usually pick up on things very quickly, but I think the frequency is limiting my ability to learn.

Anyways, I know this thread might not take off and get activity. Wanted to try and see if we have some members Into firearms.
Only morons in the South would create and keep alive such a stupid fucking thread.

Why?

Because you're stupid fucking, Southern, morons that are a menace to yourselves and everyone around you.

OP is a Texan, right?

Have a 507k on my Hellcat and it is incredible. Do recommend. Its also small enough to allow cowitnessing with just slightly higher irons in the rare case the 50,000hr battery dies.
LOL

Back to training bro.
No one gives a fuck about your ridiculous self esteem issues

In a close defensive situation, this is it. That’s the likely personal carry task - dispatching at close range. No sights - no time sorta thing

With a holster, no need for that SAS version , either.

I’m originally from up north and been down south half my life now. There’s no comparison between the two, the women down south look better, the ppl are friendlier, and it doesn’t take a fortune to enjoy life. I’ll never move back up north, fuck that! And yes, it’s nice to live in an area where democrat fucks don’t sympathize with criminal scumbags, funny how all the areas with the worst homicides are liberal retard cities with strict gun laws

Amen, brother. Truer words have not been spoken.

You guys make it really difficult to stay apolitical. Why does even a harmless thread like this have to start insulting people.

I don’t get it.

So how often does everyone go to a range or practice? It's been 6 weeks and I've not been in the mood. I really need to get more practice time in.
