Summer cut!!!

I love keto. I pretty much live on a modified keto diet. You have to eat a shit load of protein on keto. You have to eat 2x your body weight in grams of protein per day. If you weight 200lbs you have to eat 400 grams of protein per day. That's how you maintain muscle on keto
Damn that's modified as fuck. You know your body converts excess to glucose though... I have the text book:D but I did tons of avacado and bacon salads and probably 8-10 eggs a day and it worked nicely but now I stick to sweet potatoes for carbs only

You should be eating close to that much protein regardless of diet. That's how you put on lean mass. How much protein do you eat?
 
If it's your first competition I'd really recommend adding four weeks to however many weeks you think it will take you to get in contest shape.

Unless you have a gifted metabolism or are near contest shape early, chances are your last few to several weeks diet will be pretty much lean protein sources + green veggies with low fat and almost no starch.

For example with 350-400 grams of protein a day, that alone is 1400-1600 calories before fat and Carbs, so if you start adding non-incidental fat and Carbs you'll be over 2000 calories which will work at first but may not work once you near single digit bf%

Everyone is different and your first contest will teach you how your body responds to calories, carbs etc.
 
I agree 400 grams of protein on a cut for me just in protein damn that 1600 calories in protein alone. Add in fats and some carbs and I'm over 2000 calories easy that's bulking for me. I'm 195 at 12 % bf all natural and I'm cutting to 180 lbs to get to 8% bf before I start my summer cycle. 400g of protein being natural is just overkill to be honest. I'm sure u know your shit judging by ur Avatar but damn your trened up from hell so you absorbing everything you put in your body.

Actually I do 2000 and I manage to recomp natty! I've been lifting for 6 years now and got to where I am today plus being a ectomorph(the fat one) I gain muscle quickly but when I do lower carbs a bit is when my body decides it still wants to build muscle in place of where fat was. I'm now swapping diet to 50/20/30 p/c/f and waiting on permission to add ephedrine to my diet.... military makes you have signatures for questionable meds
 
Intermittent fasting , I know if you stay low carb and can spend an hour a day in a steam room in a rubber diving suit you lose lots of water weight fast , and if you can handle keto go for it , I see lots of guy''s trying dnp but there isn't enough research on it to convince me it's worth it , maybe wait and go for the next competition give yourself more time , that's my opinion best of luck.
