Started TRT Today

Howdy Meso,

Been a member here for a few months, and was initially mostly interested in sourcing peptides. A bit of my story is in my intro post.

So my partner has been on female HRT for a while now due to some medical issues, and I watched how HRT and GLP-1s completely transformed her body and life. Just over a year ago, I was in a fucking miserable place, and have no doubt my test was completely bottomed out. I was grouchy, overweight, sedentary, isolating, pallid, struggling with libdio, drive, motivation, no ambition, irrational fear, chasing dopamine, unhealthy mind state, all of it.

So less than a year ago, made the leap to GLP-1s (sema at first, tirz next, and just started low dose reta for maintenance and the metabolic boost.) Within a few months, once I'd gotten down to my pre-pandemic weight, started training/lifting in earnest. Also jumped down the nootropic rabbit hole, trying to find alternatives to pharma stims (vyvanse) which I've been prescribed on and off since my mid 20s for ADHD.

Stims can be great, but they really wreak havoc on the brain and body with long term use. But the more I dug into this topic, and the more peptides and compounds I tried, the more the hormone question came up. Checked my levels (just total test from GP panel) back in Feb, and my levels were ~600.) So I thought, "I'm good, no need to go on TRT just yet."

The training intensity and focus really ramped up around this time. Also started using more peps, GH, dialed in the nutrition, natural test boosters, and started ALL the injectable pre-workouts (carnitine, ATP, AMP, carnosine, choline, b vitamins, blends, etc.) Basically, was doing everything but hormones, thinking I could put it off for a few more years and make up the difference with l-carnitine and tongkat ali (lol). However, as my body started to change, and I started to put on honest muscle for the first time in my life, I just kept feeling like the "core" of what I was doing was missing. Even though recovery was solid with GH, other peptides and nutrition, performance at my day job was super inconsistent. Plus, I have a whole other career in the arts outside of the day job.

Decide to do a much more in depth hormone panel through Private MD Labs, and my test was about half of what it had been a few months prior. LH and FSH also low, even estradiol on the low side. I have many theories about why this could be the case (prolonged use of fadogia agrestis for one), but it's ultimately not that important. I'm at the age where I just had to accept that my test wasn't going to get any better. And with how much I was training, and working two separate careers, I was getting closer to making the leap to TRT. And since I'd become so comfortable with injecting, it was probably time to consider it in earnest.

Fast forward a bit, and started HCG monotherapy to gauge my response. And within a few weeks, titrated up the dose to ~600iu, 3x/week. Noticed a significant improvement in baseline health, mood, well being, libido. I start to remember what 'spontaneous joy' feels like. Decide it's time to try TRT.

Start working with Ryan's clinic (HFM - this is not a shill post) despite having ordered a few kits of oils (Sust 250 and Test E) from GGB. Realize the CN oils are likely laden with solvents, and decide to wait for the pharma test cyp to start TRT in earnest. Fast forward to today, and decide today is the day (since this is part of my normal HCG dosing protocol.)

First injection went smooth. Dorsol gluteal. Starting on an actual TRT dose (160mg/week - split MWF.) since this is my first time w/ exogenous androgens. Went for a long bike ride after and definitely feeling that dull PIP up and down my leg, so I know I hit muscle. (Feels a lot like doing a quad shot, which I'm not a fan of.) First time doing an oil based injection, so was expecting to feel some PIP as the muscle adjusts. Will likely rotate through ventrogluteal, dorsal gluteal and deltoids (quads not worth it.)

No real changes to report yet, but I'll likely maintain this post as some sort of public journal. Not sure if I'll continue the HCG, but will prob take the dose down to 250iut, 3x/ week if I do.

Did have a question for you all:
Since I stocked up on oils (Sust 250 and Test E) which I will filter before use, was wondering what you guys think about using different esters like this when first starting TRT. My gut says it's not a good idea, and I should just dial in for a few weeks on pharma test cyp. I've just always been so curious about sustanon, and have read that Test E is a much simpler ester, and likely more effective that test cyp. Wdyt?

Test C twice weekly, simple. Don't make it complicated.

Playing Dr mix and match before you even take the first shot is insane.

A few weeks!?!?!? Jesus Christ.... You should at a minimum get blood work every 3 months for a minimum of 6 months at your PRESCRIPTION dose to establish a new baseline and to see how your body responds.

Don't mess up your system then come back here with jacked up numbers that your DR can't figure out and ask for help.

KISS

Keep
It
Simple
Stupid

This is precisely the advice I was looking for. I'll filter the CN oils for now and store them.

Since I decided to work with a clinic, I had a feeling I wouldn't end up using the ugl oils right away, and it would be better to gauge my response with a clean, pharma product. Acknowledge I need to start thinkning on a longer timeline (ADHD brain.)

Injecting MWF for now. I'll resist the urge to try any different esters until the first vial is done. I do have a bad habit of trying too many new things (supps, peptides, preworkouts, etc) at once and not in isolation. I understand the stakes and that hormones are different, hence seeking advice here, not someplace like reddit. (The level of ignorance there boggles the fucking mind...)

Thanks for slapping some sense into me.

For what’s it worth…up until about 4 weeks ago or so I was doing M/Th injections for a total of 125mg a week of test cyp then decided to do every other day injections to ride the wave and avoid greater fluctuations in test levels and my test levels were at 948 ng/dl. I feel good (strong in gym and libido is high). This to me is my true TRT therapeutic dosage. I’ve gone higher to 175/200mg a week total just playing with dosages and getting blood work to see how my test levels and estrogen react etc. If you’re in the US, I would just stick with good ol' test cyp. Not that test e isn’t better or worse but what to each their own. Good luck!

Definitely just stick to the pharma Test C and see how your body responds. No need to go fucking around with different esters and what not. Test E and C are nearly identical in their half lives, but some users report a greater deal of PIP on E as opposed to C. I am not one of those people, but everyone reacts different. And Sustanon? I don’t really know anybody who uses it for TRT, but those people do exist. Sustanon has so many different esters attached that have varying half lives that I think it’s just another variable to manage when all you need to do with C is take it twice a week.

Like @TurboJet said, keep it simple stupid.

Definitely try not to be one of those people that learn how to inject things in their bodies (AAS, peps, etc) that you thoughtlessly start playing with shit that doesn’t need playing with, at least at first. I only say this because in one of your paragraphs you mention half a dozen different injectables you take preworkout.

Best of luck man!

To add to what I said last night I understanding wanting to try different compounds and such but until you establish your new normal base line at TRT I'd hold off messing with it till you get it squared away and fully understand how your body is going to respond.

I'm not a fan of Sustanon, you'll have 4 different esters with their different half-lives ramping in and out and if you have estrogen issues those longer esters will take longer to clear.

With Test Cyp it's the medical gold standard in US for hormone replacement therapy and is very well understood. Not to mention using a prescription product will eliminate purity concerns and remove several variables from the equation.

One more thing to keep in mind many users have been reporting bad PIP with current batches of Test E. Speculation is that it's the quality/purity of the raws has been the culprit causing it.

Anyway, good luck with your health and fitness journey man!

Have never been a trt expert

First testoviron experience was 4 days continuous freq secks

No further honeymoon exp with test there after

Bought rotexmedica also, but that "felt fake", as well as some jap brand enarmon test e that was also fake. All feels lol

Since then been on a for about a year. Then decided 2 weeks ago to quit. Feel better on hcg + hgh. I actually complete workouts more on peptides than test. Is like less burnout.

Now, is a weird mix of low masculinity, higher stamina and less bodyweight/fat with no desire to exercise but no problems making progress. No soreness, no back pumps. Test e gives me back pumps.

So i don't know what to do with my 30 vials of testoviron and qsc kilobag

Have you thought about trying HCG and Nolvadex? I'm on it for life but mine was primary, meaning testicular failure. I had two huge abdominal surgeries and *snap* it went downhill after that. I need testosterone or I can't function and I get severely depressed.
