should HCG be cycled during HRT?

Are there any long term concerns with using HCG on a regular basis?

I am on TRT for life it would appear, and I cannot seem to avoid those individuals who insist on telling me that HCG long term is not a good idea. There are numerous "reasons", such as damage to the Leydig cells, or LH insensitivity, and so on and so forth. I really need an expert opinion here....

Following a year of talking to patients and looking at labs, I am now revising the way I want my TRT patients to use HCG. I now recommend 250IU on the day before, and two days before, the test cyp injection. IOW, we're just moving the two HCG shots up a day.

Without getting into all the pharmacodynamics involved, let's just say I am realizing that HCG is even MORE powerful than previously thought.

HCG is a miracle drug. Indeed I have felt it's incredible workings. I am just wondering what the long term implications were....

It would seem to me that if LH levels are depressed, either by secondary hypogonadism or TRT inhibition, then restoring same to physiological levels with a LH analog (HCG) would not result in any detrimental effects.

Your friends may be speaking of using toxic doses of HCG--over 500IU at a time. That is not what we recommend here.

Thank you very much.

Swale this may not be the place and if not feel free to move it but I read a thread of yours awhile back about HCG use during cycle and after my first 4 weeks I started 3 500 iu injections the day before a 3x weekly test and EQ (750/400)

I must say, what a difference it has made (besides the lack of rasin nuts) Recovery seems as though it will be alot easier to bounce back.

My question is, if I've been doing this during the cycle...do I just skip the 10 HCG routine and after the 2 weeks ,go to the clomid/nolva part of recovery.

I know you were working with paitents with this on HRT of which at 750 a week and fuctioning gonadal recovery, I do not qualify but your advice is as always appreciated.
