I think this shows you how bad the situation has become where cops are taught that there safety is paramount and our safety isn't worth dick.

One hour sitting on your ass while kids are being shot inside of a classroom. You're not constitutionally obligated to protect anyone as an officer, you're given qualified immunity when you harm or kill others due to incompetence or just a desire to kill.

Now you can sit on your ass because you're worried about your safety while kids inside the classroom are begging for their lives calling 911 while the cops taze parents outside screaming out for help.

Welcome to America where you don't have to do your job and you are always called a hero even if you fuck up.

Time to stop the worship of these dickheads we call LE and realize it's a profession mostly filled with low IQ cowards that go into it probably because they're too dumb to do anything productive.

And of course the macho frying bacon on the barrel of my gun when they're at the shooting range, but when they have an active shooter situation and all those hours at the range could pay off they're instead shitting themselves.

A lady drove 40 miles to get her kids then they handcuffed her when she got there for not listening.

She convinced the police she would be good, they uncuffed her, then she ran in ang got those kids.

Good for her.

The police did the same thing with the riots. They just stood there.

Not sure how the ones that didn't go in can live with the shame. If you're not willing to go balls out to prevent kids from being hurt you need to quit stealing oxygen from everyone else.

America is a shithole and a third world country , imagine being afraid to send your kid to school because it may be a victim of a school shooting lmao and trump want even more guns lmao a real shit show , don’t know how many Braincells need to be burnt to not realize how fucked up your laws and country is

If the teachers could carry, we wouldn't have this problem. Some places they can.

If more law abiding citizens carried, we would have less incidences.

Don't believe me?

Look to see what places/cities have the highest gun crimes and you'll see it's where they have the strictest laws.

Gun control probably won't fix the problem, however I can say growing up in an age before mass school shootings it would have been very rare back when I was growing up for an 18 year old to buy $3000 worth of gear to carry out a shooting, we didn't have that kind of money to blow back then.

These mass shootings are basically murder suicides with the emphasis on suicide. Perhaps lashing out at a society they have no connection to or only feelings of hurt that it caused them.

The internet didn't exist when I was growing up so we had no information on such things as mass shootings, so you got your cues from the people you interacted with each day. This was the means of socialization, a process that works far better than staring at screens.

Unfortunately many young males today are lost for a number of reasons, but I suspect many of them never had the chance to have strong male role models that could work with them and allow them to make mistakes, but realize you keep going despite failure. We have a "one and done" society, a social credit score, a regulated and record keeping society adding up your merits and determining your value. Little of this has to do with the consciousness of a man and his will to self determination. When a man is young I suspect he feels the walls are closing in on him if he doesn't have success in a society where mass media and the internet show you endless successes, but gloss over or ignore the failures that are far far more common.

This young man that did this shooting had a fucked family, his dad and mom were complete failures as parents. They fucked up and this is why I don't think the average person should breed unless they are older and wiser and have the introspection to realize being a parent is a task of self devotion where you don't let up until your life is over. Instead you have kids having kids and they create so much misery that never needed to exist if they'd only used birth control.

What a load of utter rubbish.

Until 18 year olds are banned from buying 2 Semi automatic assault weapons designed to kill a number of people at once on a battlefield, then this situation will continue to happen. Why would an 18 year need to have 2 weapons like this? How is he allowed to buy these on his 18th birthday? He doesn't even own his own home that he needs to protect.

The most a person needs to own is 1 handgun - even then there needs to be numerous background checks carried out to make sure the guy is not a nutcase and the minimum age needs to be 25 years old. We don't need to all walk around in the UK loaded to the eyeballs to make sure we aren't going to be killed at any given moment and we all manage to survive.

The U.S has lost control of its gun laws but no one wants to admit it.

What if the 18 year old just opened his parent's gun safe and then went on his rampage?

Messed up people are going to kill other people if they want to. They will always find a way. It's better to have the firepower available for everyone to stop these crazy people before they can carry out their evil plans.

Its having Firepower available to everyone that has got you into all this mess in the first place .....

The phrase 'Guns don't kill people, evil people kill people' doesn't wash anymore. Allowing nutters the access to firearms especially semi-automatic assault rifles makes it much easier for them to kill people.

It's not a third world country, it's a country where individualism reigns supreme and with that comes endless problems because it's much easier to divide and conquer a people that find themselves on the bottom half of society if they are taught to kill and fight each other for scraps.

Laws alone won't fix what is broken about the US. Until the bottom half of this country rises up and demands power and stops with the slave morality where they deny their basic needs and desires, there will be nothing changed as long as these slaves do as their masters tell them.

There's an expectation by those that sit at the top 10-20% of society that the bottom half are here to serve them. They maintain this mind set and those below assume their roles because they have been taught to be helpless.
They have looked to others to provide them a means of survival, trading their labor for a small portion of the profits, they were taught that this is playing it safe, but crunching the numbers proves otherwise and that it is actually riskier to depend on the slave master as they built their empires on deceit.

Our biggest problem with this country isn't laws, it's the system that is set up for the parasites to take advantage of a people that were taught not to trust each other and so they have no means of rising up. It's only though this distrust that the much smaller number of elites have any power at all, otherwise nature would take its course and the wolves would surround their prey and take their enemy down for a dinner.

Seeing ourselves as connected to one another, seeing that we have power when we join forces is the only way you'll fix the rot that has taken over this country where so many people live in despair because there is nothing to offer other than another purchase of a good no one really needs. Instead of addressing what is really eating away at people, what makes them miserable, we are told capitalism and the endless toys it provides will fill that void that never gets filled because it can't. A wolf doesn't need a toy, it eats and shits when it wants, where it wants and when it is doing something to take advantage of the others the wolves turn on it and take it out.

Without these young adult males being connected to brotherhood of sorts, a group that will bring them in and make them strong through training, there's nothing for them to do and so they end up in trouble because they haven't had the time to gain any wisdom and insight. An 18 year old man is still a child imo, he knows nothing of how the world really works, because only through experience and failure and misery do you see the truth and that doesn't hit until you're probably heading towards 35 when the light bulb goes off and you realize just how fucked the system really is.

We'd do well to pay attention to nature and observe that we all need to be connected to something, even if life continues to be hard you at least have a higher purpose in life than just this bullshit that we've been handed in the United States.

So then the only people who have firearms will be...the government, and the criminals?

No thanks. I want the single mom to be able to be able to defend herself against rapists.

I also don't trust any government enough to give them a monopoly on force. We've seen how that has turned out in history.

The problem is without guns you'll just find a softer target.

So instead of attacking say ten year olds, you attack pre-schoolers with a meat cleaver and chef knife.

I'm not saying gun control for these kids isn't a good idea, because it is commonsense as I don't give a shit about what an 18 year old kid wants, he doesn't need it. He'd be better off spending that money on getting laid and if needed hire a hooker.

Most 18 year old males are reckless and dangerous. They have never seen death up close and personal, they haven't had a chance to watch others die. Probably why it's so easy to get them to sign up for the military because they have no clue what they're getting themselves into.

You can fortify schools, you can make them like police stations where you have a lobby with bulletproof glass and a person manning it to let people in. You could also build high fences with barbed wire to prevent people getting to the school once the gates are closed, this allows the children to run out of the school in case of emergency.

That said you'll never get to the root of the problem unless you address the fact that suicide rates are through the roof for young and old, something horrible is happening to the kids and adults in this country and like always we get the same old tired deflecting bullshit "America is the greatest place on earth", only we're not, we're ranked 16th in the world as far as happiness. Western European countries do a far better job of providing a quality and meaningful existence for their people, perhaps they can't become super rich like you can in America, but that is the problem with the bullshit American dream, it's not gonna happen for the vast majority that will be stuck in a hellscape if they fall through the cracks or falter for even one minute.

If people were going to do that then it would be going on here, which it doesn't. The reason people use guns is because they make killing so easy, the kid that did the recent shooting was obsessed with playing Call of Duty - buying 2 semi automatics as easily as he did he was able to carry out his sick fantasy unfortunately.

How many more of these mass shootings is it going to take before the Government realise the real root of the problem is not evil or mentally unhinged people - but the fact he can go into a gun store and buy a sophisticated killing weapon more easily than he can acquiring a driving license?

There are many issues to look at when it comes to these problems.

Sure America has a violence problem. On one hand Biden says we need to do something about gun violence in this country and then he signs a bill to give Ukraine endless amounts of weapons to kill people. He tells the Naval Graduates that they're the best people we have, they're our hero's. Military is death and destruction, it doesn't take much to kill, it takes hard work to build and repair.

Violence is violence. This idea that you can compartmentalize violence and state that violence is okay in this case, but in another case you can't do it. This probably comes from our inability to hold ourselves to a higher standard.

It's like me if I was forced to work at a slaughter house all day, I'd go nuts because I couldn't stand doing it. I'd be the guy that frees the animals because I'd empathize with them. Some people can kill all day long and not give a shit.

As for these kids I think it's not a bad idea to keep them out of the hands of 18 year olds, even 21 year olds are still basically kids imo. I realize people want freedom, but I could care less if people under 30 weren't allowed to buy guns except muzzle loaders to hunt with.

The problem is the shooters have a very specific profile they almost always match. They are isolated rejects that society has cast off or they have done things to cast themselves off and when a young man enters into what is consider adulthood he is ill prepared. This young man is basically experiencing an existential dread where they realize they are forced into world of work, class systems, rankism, credentialism. They know they're not gonna measure up and they know they have a lifetime to look forward to that feeling of defeat replayed everyday as they smack the alarm clock and so they lash out at the system when they realize they're stuck with no way to go back in time and correct all the missteps that cost them big time.

School shootings are done because they grab the media and society, they have shock value. They serve as the ultimate revenge for these young people. This isn't organic, no one wakes up one day and just shoots up a school, these are kids having problems and they see a school shooting every week in the media and because they see the impact it has and how much attention it receives it is the best way of going out of this world and at the same time taking out a section of the culture that probably treated these kids like shit while they were growing up. After all school is all they know and for many kids that were picked on it was nothing but an endless string of humiliating moments that became burned into their minds.

Profile of the shooter:

Psychopath.

Appearently he talked about killing regularly.

Wanted to join the marines so he could kill people.

Like to kill animals, cats in particular.

Messaged women at work tell them "do you know who I am". Imagining himself having power, grandiosity despite him being rejected and isolated by his peers.

He wanted people to know what he was gonna do: murder.

Disparity between what he wanted in life and what he was able to achieve (this goes back to my statement that misteps early on in life set up a lifetime of limitations) causing frustration. This feeling would be overcome by killing people and doing something worthy of recognition.

Immaturity, bullied, socially awkward, products of poor parenting, holding a grudge and vindictive.

So he's basically your garden variety school shooter, he had all the right ingredients to become what he was destined to become one day.

His grandmother argued with him the day he shot her about him not graduating from high school. Formal education isn't for everyone. Even Amish with their 8th grade education work hard and are usually masters of their craft. It's really a recent invention that people have to get so much schooling before they are allowed to do anything in life. That said this kid needed a rubber room, not a classroom.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Profile of the cops:

Large cowboy hats to signify they're dickheads.

No responsibility to act if someone is being harmed.

Cops aren't selected for fearlessness and bravery, they are given a job where they wear a uniform and carry a gun to look the part of being brave. This is mostly used to terrorize unarmed civilians into submission.

Their highest value is self preservation. That means if you reach in your pocket for a stick of gum they have to blow your head off because it might be a weapon. Doesn't matter if it was just a stick of gum that shit could have killed the officer and we all know how important it is for them to make it home at the end of the day so they can beat the shit out of their wife and kids.

So what have we learned.

Cops don't like responsibility, they like wearing the clown outfit and barking orders, intimidating and ruining lives, but when it comes to putting their asses on the line, we now know they won't even do it for kids.

And yet there still our hero's.

If the teachers could carry, we wouldn't have this problem. Some places they can.

Gun control, control over the sale and use of guns needs to be changed, as more and more of these cases are terrible. And then there is the labing of the armed business.

When I was growing up in the 70's and 80's there was no school shootings that I knew of. Perhaps there were a few cases nationally, but they were probably targeted individuals, gang activity or revenge, or just someone scared that wanted a gun at school.

Schools I suspect were much more violent physically back in my day then they are now as even I got into fist fights regularly to protect myself. My graduating class had about 1200 students and I can tell you it was like being in a prison, bloody viscous fights, even attempted murder where I remember a kid sticking a pen into a kids temple. We're talking mob fights where kids where tossed over vehicles, punched out cold, I do remember a few kids bringing handguns to school to protect themselves and getting caught and they disappeared and I don't know what happened to them.

Same with my dad that was an army brat and moved around all the time while growing up and had to get in fist fights back in the 50's/60's because kids would screw with the new kid.

So the problem of violence has always existed in schools and it imo was far far worse back a few decades ago then it is today where kids are charged with crimes if they fight, if they even speak in violent terms, it goes down on their record where's I never had a record when I got into a fight protecting myself, even when I picked up a kid up over my head and threw him over a concession stand for sucker punching me in the mouth, while I was talking to my friends.

I suspect even if you have strict gun control you still haven't fixed the fundamental problem and you haven't secured the school environment enough to prevent violence. That said 90% of all school shootings are carried out by students that attend those schools, so they're insiders that know the vulnerabilities.

I'm all for not selling guns to 18 year olds at all. I don't even know if a 21 year old is really all that impressive if you ask me as far as maturity. Perhaps 25 years old would be the better age when a kid has more of a chance to grow up and become and adult that values others lives. I don't think we should limit the sale of firearms to mature adults however.

It appears this shooter didn't actually have the money for his gun purchase, but instead put it on a credit card. That shouldn't be allowed. 18 year old kid buys weapons that can kill lots of people on a credit card, that should throw up lots of red flags and the gun dealer should have told them no sale.

Gun shop owner used to be hard asses, if they didn't feel good about you they would refuse the sale. You ask for a handgun and they'd ask all sorts of questions and they'd refuse you on the spot. They weren't playing games. It seems today's gun shops don't give a shit. If I owned a gun shop and some snot nose 18 year old kid wants to buy high capacity weapons on a credit card I'd tell him to hit the road.

- but the fact he can go into a gun store and buy a sophisticated killing weapon more easily than he can acquiring a driving license?

Youre a fuckin idiot! Do you know what NICS is? How about a 4473? The fact you think he used a "sophisticated killing weapon" spells out just how ignorant you are to weapons, let alone laws. GTFO with your simple minded overemotional BS! Heres the facts jack....you cant legislate evil out of any society, period! We protect, with weapons, certain adults, but not our precious future...our children. And fucktards like you and every other pussified bitch thats too afraid to protect, not only yourself but others in our evil societies by arming yourself, calling for weapons bans for law abiding citizens, lobby for lesser charges on criminals and anti death penalty cripple our ability to quickly extinguish the evil among us. Stay the fuck in your lane and out of the USAs business!

You dont think an 18yr old should have a gun but its perfectly fine to send them off to war? Come the hell on!

As far as your quote above, all FFL holders that sell have the exact same process to go through. Fail the 4473 and NICS and you can be looking at some pretty severe charges. But the shooter didnt fail. Ask yourself why he didnt fail the system and you might understand why even the most strict gun laws would not have stopped this situation from happening. Add to that, the shooter didnt even have to go to a gun shop to carry out his plan. The same result could have accomplished through different means. All legal. Again, you cannot legislate evil.
