I'd trust bad reviews from most places. Scammers are gonna pay for fake good reviews.
Granted you could get a competitor that posts bad reviews about their competition.
Look for things like independent 3rd party testing, sources that offer incentive for buyers to post test results.
Read the back and forth between the customers and sources on these forums and see how they deal with issues when they arise.

I personally wouldn't believe much on reddit, especially in regards to sources. This forum doesn't censor comments or reviews, so you can go actually read through the source thread to see for yourself. I would never believe someone's word when I can go read for myself.
With that said, isn’t there a high likelihood there are fake reviews on this site?
I only ask bc I’ve spent literally a grand total of 12-16 hours reading through all the threads on source talk. It’s so hard to know forsure. Especially bc I used to trust purple panda(4 years ago) but now they seem sketchy present day due to what I’ve read all around the internet. Even on this site I’ve seen some bad comments, but sure enough there are also recent comments where people say they’re seemingly g2g.
However, I will say this, I saw some news story a year ago or so where ppl got busted with what seemed like PPL stuff…so that’s probably an indicator they aren’t a good place to go now(feds now running the site still up) It just seems like there are so many forum boards and it’s hard to know what are legit reviews or fake. Some places seem noticeably fake bc you’ll have moderators say the same thing, “this is why you only use our PAID trusted sponsored sources” etc, but it will be someone talking about wanting Raws where their “trusted” source doesn’t even offer Raws.
Idk, I know this is the game of the underground world. I guess it’s just frustrating getting back into this when years ago I did hours and hours of research and now it’s starting all over and the game changed dramatically. COVID seems to have made a notable impact as well as the fentanyl crisis. I’m sure fentanyl caused crackdowns on everything. Sucks bc I’m just someone who wants to get some gains back. Literally just personal use too

Do you know how to decipher fake reviews? See the people that leave reviews on sources and see what kind of information they contribute among other parts of the forum.
Don't listen to the guy with 1-3 posts. Listen to the guys make quality posts and post regularly here for years that have no financial ties to the source.

That's why you read last page of each thread, and go forward 20 to 40 pages or more. If you did that in PPLs thread, you are right in them being sketchy. I'd avoid them completely.
There are no Moderators or sources deleting comments here. So while the reviews are real, you just have to consider some sources might have shills who camp out in their thread posting Nothing but praise. Look thru the lab testing section as well for source and blind testing.
I would avoid ASF, their source section can't be trusted. PM does have some serious Moderation so I'd be careful with sources there. SST has some good ones, but you got to really be careful and read the recent posts on there. Because there are a few sources who have guys continue to push their source when there are red flags.

We have four solid domestics and a number of good intl sources. I wouldn't look on other sites, I'd recommend investing more time doing as I suggested. Up to you but glad we could help.

I agree with this heavily. When I first started “shopping around” per say, I came across meso and put the time in learning etc. Since I’ve spent so much time here now, I went and looked around other boards and such and it just isn’t the same. You can tell the vibe is different in the source boards and such.

I’ve done it. I wouldn’t worry, TECHNICALLY alibaba is safest because if you contact them you can make a claim against your money.
But that just creates a sticky situation.
EDIT: Safest from a regular consumer standpoint; obviously KYC-less crypto (preferably monero) would be safest OPSEC wise
