Getting into gear as a lifelong commitment

At this point, what was the thing he said that got it deleted? Like what else was left for him to say

I'm betting Eli Lilly is fed up with him (and others like him) profiteering off their product. As retatrutide gets closer to market I expect this kind of thing to ramp up with grey market peddlers.

Hey guys,

I’m 23 and have been lifting since I was 17. I started out as a really skinny, undernourished kid at around 100 lbs, but after years of training and a dirty bulk, I hit 253 lbs at my peak. I’ve since cut down a lot of the fat, though I still have some stubborn lower back fat left that I’m working on this year.

Right now I’m 173 cm (5’8”) and 189 lbs.

I’ve been looking into Chase Irons’ approach to getting on gear. The plan I had in mind is starting with 200 mg/week of Test E, then reassessing every 8 weeks to decide whether to increase the dose, and eventually adding in a DHT derivative.

The main reason I want to hop on is the quality-of-life improvements people often talk about—stronger erections, higher libido, consistent morning wood, more confidence, etc.—in addition to the obvious training benefits.
  • Would 200 mg/week be a solid starting point to build from?
  • I already have anastrozole and letrozole on hand, both dissolved in vodka for even dosing. How should I best approach AI use as a first-timer?
  • My biggest concern is gyno, since it can throw off your entire look. As a newbie, I’m also aware that the other side effects are no joke, so I want to be cautious.
Any advice, suggestions, or experiences you can share would mean a lot.

Thanks in advance

I'm not sure about that. I occasionally smoke. I don't drink a lot. Twice a year, maybe?

My sleep is not perfect for sure. I'm lucky if I get 6 hours/day throughout the week...

I am diagnosed with hypothyroidism and I'm currently on 100 mcg of T4 per day

thank you, brother! I'll get labs.

Thank you so much for the detailed answer, brother.

I plan on cutting down to 180 or 170 and then throwing in some NPP—speculation, obviously.

Wdym mean by shitty nutrition? Just getting in enough protein and then free-balling carbs and fats?

I take most of my sets to absolute failure. I do cardio for 30 minutes every day at around 130-145 bpm.

Congrats on the 30 minutes of cardio every day. Seriously, that is great.

So you overate and got out of control and up to 253 pounds. You are now down to 189 pounds, but for a guy who is 5'8", obviously you are still fat.

Have you managed to get closer to 8 hours of sleep? What changes have you made to your evening routine to try to get more than 6 hours?

Stop smoking, even occasionally.

You are concerned that you have low test. You are getting labs. Did you get labs? What did they say? Can you post them here after redacting your name and such?

Do you know what aromatase is? Did you know it is made in, among other places, fat cells, which means that the leaner you are, the less aromatase your body makes?

Did you know that aromatase has an inverse relationship with testosterone level and a positive relationship with your levels of estrogen?

Post your diet. You do track what you eat, right?

If your weight was 189 on September 30, do you weigh 187 today? Why or why not?
