recent bloodwork help

i was having nighttime drops in bg while asleep according to my cgm
I wouldn't believe this without verifying it with a finger prick. The CGMs are sensitive to pressure so if you're laying on it, it will register low. Every single time mine has said I'm hypo, a finger prick showed it was lying.

well , i dont see much of improvement, and a slight decline on some, it could be because im 2 weeks post op for hand surgery , these labs were taken after, idk, i guess i will see if my nephrologist will up my jardiance to 25 mg, he is such a bare minimum dr, , IMG_0980.webpIMG_0979.webpIMG_0978.webp

Updated labs , nothing exciting , and some a little concerning. And for the record , I was dehydrated from the day before and had minimal water before the test so it was likely off , I was also doing an “Trt iron protocol” trying raise “Ferritin” that jacked up my rbc, hemoglobin, and Hct, My ferritin raised from 30 to 81 though, but at the cost of my other more crucial markers rising. Forgot to add it, I have been pretty consistent with cystatin c, it’s higher yes , but taking jardiance has stabilized it it seems , it can’t reverse it I don’t think , but stopping the forward progression,

my igf1 is low i totally agree, the only thing i can think causing this is the fact that i've been in a calorie deficit for a lonng time , just recently eating more towards training times etc , but carbs are always below 200 g daily , with it being closer to 150 g on average daily, Ive been using qsc 15 iu hgh that tested @ 97% with miniscule dimer content, it is the highest its been since ive been using hgh for @2 years, i didn't have a baseline igf1 score , but my numbers are 213ng/ml on 3-11-2024 , 193ng/ml on 10-15-2024, 215ng/ml on 3-11-2025, i am over 50 years old , but i see people with higher scores at my age bracket and its quite discouraging to say the least,,

Hep C often leaves liver fibroses behind that persistently lowers IGF-1.

Dunno if you’re using a GLP, but that help your borderline high A1C and may regress any fibrosis you’ve still got post cure.

I can't eat on these glp's i was taking reta , and having good bg benefits, but i just could not eat, even on .75 mg week, so im taking 500 mg er Metformin, and have lowered my hgh to 3 iu daily , which puts my igf1 @260+ , i had hep c about 10 years ago and was treated with Meverik or something like that, i figured out my igf1 was on the lower side due to low carb intake, now that i eat more carbs daily and at maintenance calories its more acceptable in range

@Ateam2023 Are you on anything else aside from trt? Sorry if I missed it. Have you donated blood recently or any other reason your ferritin tanked?
No i been on a rightous trt doses since April and besides 3-4 ius of hgh , i am on a slow crawl at the moment , I can't donate because of prior hep c so i am at a loss , unless ckd tanks ferritin

Recent lipoproteins (a) i just had another Echocardiogram this past week , waiting for those reults, also waiting on results for the 6 day Ekg test i did where i had to wear that hr monitor for 6 daysIMG_3690.webp

Is an er cbc bloodtest more sensitive than say a quest lab? i had bloodwork 5 days ago with a hematocrit of 53, now 5 days later at the er its 49 and it hasn't been under 51 in 3 years? Very strange,

Hi brother!
I know its been a while. I've been away-lurking for a while... very busy lately.
Saw this thread... I have some answers for you regarding kidneys, etc... I'll post for you as time permits.

RE: CBC & Hematocrit... the time between draw and sample test impacts the results. IDK, maybe you already know... the longer the blood sits waiting to be tested, the higher the result. Roughly, anywhere from 0.1 to 1% per day increase. This is caused by red blood cells continuing absorbing the plasma fluid within the sample tube. Quest usually does CBC within 24 hours, which is fast compared to LabCorps 3 day average IME. ER, they must have done it within a couple of hours. That's the true read. Now, there IS a CBC my Hematologist orders with a "STAT" direction... the lab completes the test within a few hours and results posted by end of the day.

Additionally, higher/elevated WBC count (e.g. illness, infection) can give a false read of the Hematocrit level... the additional cells interfere with the RBC count.

I have all the PubMed docs Ill post for you.

Hello Sir, thanks for this information, i did realize after my post that while at the er they gave me 1 liter of iv fluids, i was having a "dense moment" , then realized that's absolutely why my hct was lower , i was super hydrated by means of intravenous fluids, but i would be interested in anything you could post in regards to this bloodwork, Thanks Brother!
