receive package 6 weeks after getting to USA

I had a package arrive at customs in texas in september. About Sept 20. Afer that point tracking had it not moving at all. Then one day it gets delivered about 2 months later. I know pkgs can get lost delayed. I had contacts take an extra 3 weeks sent within the USA to me. Instead of 3 days it took 3 weeks. Anything to worry about on ordering again? Do I need to change address?

I've experience a similar situation last year. Sat in customs about two months or so. I wrote it off as seized. Then one day it was delivered to my doorstep. Was obviously opened and was stamped "inspected by customs". I opened it up and one pill from every product was missing. Product was in original packaging. I'm guessing they tested he product for narcotics? The order was for metformin and bp meds. Don't think they were too concerned about that.

But I also use a mail forwarding service, I get mail in one state and then that company mails it to my house in another state. Not fool prove but a layer of protection kind of.

Thx for that. there was nothing out of ordinary about my pkg, uniess I totally missed something. It was a ups mail box if that matters. And from what I rememer the senders address was not foreign, it was in USA. THough it was sent non domestic. weird?

to add a detail: the package went to texas customs. Stayed there. Never an update. Then I get it delivered, and the sender was domestic, which I didn't understand. And from waht I recall a different tracking number. Maybe it was how the source replaced the 'lost' package. I guess if what I received is not the same one that hit customs, then that 'original' has been taken, and I got a new one. But im pretty sure it was the original.
