Raging Headache

After not going to the gym for roughly 10 days due to Christmas including a lot of dinners I went to the gym again yesterday and did a normal chest routine and 5 hours later I had the worst raging headache in my life. I never had such a headache, not on gear, not on TRT, never. I had to take like 1g aspirin to cool it a bit, still couldn't sleep and it's still hurting 15 hours later.

Does this happen after a such a short pause? Any experiences?

In the past I remember I took a week off while on a moderate dose.

Slept maybe 4 hours a night, Daily pounding headaches the whole week, got back into the gym and started exerting all my energy and the headaches went away and my sleep schedule went back to normal

Not sure what it was from, but yeah basically I feel like shit when I don’t do any physical activity for a while

Most headaches in life are due to dehydrations so i might start there. The only headaches in the gym i have ever had in my decades of lifting were form to many stimulants pre work out.

How’s your blood pressure? That’s something we should check regularly regardless of gear usage.

Also, did you have too much or not enough (your usual amount) caffeine that day? Assuming you drink caffeine.

Most headaches are caused by dehydration but there are some nasties that can cause them. It won't be linked to too much gym use; that can't happen. Basics would be paracetamol (acetaminophen) to control it, and check BP. Any BP where the top number is over 200 is a medical emergency.

If the headache does not subside, then it's ER / A&E / whatever the emergency room is called in your country. Meningitis has a symptom of blinding headache and it's not to be fucked with. Better to have it examined and rule out than risk it.

If the headache does subside, chill out and don't panic. It was probably just something like a migraine; even if you are not prone to getting them, you can get migraines randomly. They're powerful enough to put you to bed.

Hope you're feeling better!

After like a day it was completely gone and I went to the gym again a couple of times already and doing hardcore routines.

I didn't have any fever, or any other symptoms.

Just this ridiculous headache. I think this was just a one time occurrence - well, I hope as it was more painful than anything I ever got and I got my dick sliced open at a motorcycle accident (just got a very long scar at one side of it :D).

Anyway, thanks for the input guys.
