Putting up big ass numbers

Finally wrapping up this hell hole. Ha. Some minor gaps in the trim from floors/ceiling being bowed, but nothing a little caulk and paint won't fix. Also, the paint my woman picked out is a few shades darker than I would like, but once I get this leased out and move onto the next place, I won't really give a shit.

What do you guys think? Are the walls too dark, or does it seem inviting?20180723_100216.jpg

Weight today was 199.2

Workout was,

3x7 squats @ 375lbs
3x7 bench @ 285 lbs
3x5 deadlifts @ 465lbs

Apparently I gained a few pounds over the weekend. Ha. Squats and bench felt like a warmup. Feeling really good about the amraps on those later this week. Hoping for my new training maxes to be 525 on squat and 390 on bench. I'm going to introduce wraps after my amraps. If my strength seems to go up significantly I'll probably adjust my training max accordingly to stay around am row 7-7.5 on my sets

I think with the hardwood floors they look fine! Good job

Weight today was 197.6

Workout was,

1x5 squats @ 415lbs
2x5 squats @ 385lbs
3x5 paused bench @ 300lbs
2x8 leg extensions
4x8 calf raises
4x15 calf raises
Got my wraps in the mail today. I ended up throwing them on for my first set and bumped the weight up a conservative 30lbs because I've never used wraps. I must have done them right because 415x5 felt like a warm-up. Lol. That made me feel pretty good about the wraps adding a good 40-50lbs to my max. Bench felt really smooth too. Even the last set was barely pushing an rpe 7.

I have an amrap on deadlifts tomorrow. So I'm pigging out a bit tonight to try and load up for it. Ha. I'm going to need all the help I can get to nail 525 for 8.

Haven't tried those. The original Slingshot ones have been the best I've used so far. I get around 50lbs out of them, too. I liked them enough I bought a second pair after the first ones I bought started getting worn a bit.

I believe they are the same ones you have. Just changed the name of them. Both of your guys wraps are Red right?

I believe these ones are different. At least on his site he claims they're better. Ha. My limited amount of knowledge on knee wraps makes it difficult for me to tell if that's BS or not. But when I used them yesterday, I half ass tied them myself and they still met/passed my expectations.

Best way to wrap for maximum rebound in my opinion:

Preroll the wraps tightly. Start below the knee and wrap outwards, three to four revolutions from below the knee to above the knee, then just start making X's around your kneecap until you run out of wrap.

Nailed it. Want all that pressure pressing the knee inwards and outwards as much as possible .

I posted earlier about how I was going to have to ghetto rig that window because the wall now had a decent gap from the original frame. The thing about these deals as I want to do them as cheap as possible so I was trying to figure out how I could finish it to make it look good without going out and buying any more shit and wasting a bunch of time.... Well, I found out floor trim actually looks half way decent on window framed. Haha

Mine are the blue ones. Original Slingshot wraps.

Damn I could have sworn you had the red ones lol.

@Brandaddy I don't know a whole lot about wraps as I've never used them. But everything I've ever read or saw is exactly what @Perrin Aybara and @Dw725 Are telling you. And it's best to have someone wrap them for you if possible.

@Perrin Aybara I've actually read a ton of conflicting arguments about whether to roll the wraps up super tight when you are done or just fold them up. Have you always wrapped them up as tight as possible once you're finished with them?

I just keep mine loose when storing, so not to wear the elasticity out. It's a hassle, but only roll them tight right before you put them on to help you get a tighter , cleaner wrap when you are putting them on yourself. Also keeps the slack out of the way.

I don't roll them up tightly when I'm done with them. I believe it would stretch them out. Just loosely rolled. When actually using them in the gym I'll roll one up tightly and put a rubber band or something around it while I roll the other and then put both on.

Honestly the wraps are just too much trouble for me anymore. Going to do meets with sleeves from now on, I think. When you have to wrap yourself at meets and get them rolled for the next time it uses too much energy and it just sucks. I tore a fingernail halfway off at a meet trying to get my wraps on in time and was bleeding everywhere. If I use them at all now it'll just be for overload training.

Yeah, this makes complete sense to me.

Yeah it seems like it would be alot if you had to wrap yourself. Like I mentioned before, I'm sticking with sleeves until I hit 600, which should hopefully be this winter.
