Putting up big ass numbers

I train in sleeves only 99 % of the time for the same reason @Perrin Aybara

I'd use the wraps a handful of times before a meet if I knew i wanted to compete in them. Once you know what they do for you I don't think always training in them is much of an advantage.

I don't roll them up tightly when I'm done with them. I believe it would stretch them out. Just loosely rolled. When actually using them in the gym I'll roll one up tightly and put a rubber band or something around it while I roll the other and then put both on.

Honestly the wraps are just too much trouble for me anymore. Going to do meets with sleeves from now on, I think. When you have to wrap yourself at meets and get them rolled for the next time it uses too much energy and it just sucks. I tore a fingernail halfway off at a meet trying to get my wraps on in time and was bleeding everywhere. If I use them at all now it'll just be for overload training.

That's the exact reason I only used them for my first set last night. It just seems like an uncomfortable pain in the ass to do in training. I really wanted to do that bigger meet and since they allow.them there I'm going to definitely use them at the meet. But as far as training goes. I don't see myself using them until maybe the last 4 weeks before the meet when I'm peaking. Then I'm going right back to sleeves afterwards

Weight today was 200.8

Workout was

1x1 deadlifts @ 525lbs
1x8 deadlifts @ 525lbs
3x12 lay pulldowns
2x12 seated rows
5x12 preacher curls
5x15 db curls

Well... I hit my deadlift goal. Didn't even tear my spinal erectors. Ha. It actually wasn't too bad. It really helped make me feel confident about going 600+ in November.

Weight today was 200.2

Workout was,

1x8 squats @ 415lbs
1x8 bench @ 315lbs

Felt like I definitely had a couple more reps on bench but my lower back started to cramp up so I had to rack it at 8. All in all I feel pretty good, hit all my goals, actually a bit easier than I was hoping. Still have the blast with the drugs yet too so things should hopefully only get better.

Weight today was 198.8

Workout was,

3x7 squats @ 390lbs
3x7 bench @ 295lbs
3x5 deadlifts @ 490lbs

Lifts didn't go too bad considering my diet over the weekend. First week fully on cycle. I couldn't wait to finally get some test and anavar in me because the weights are only going to get heavier, and the volume is only going to get higher. Lol. In a few weeks when I readjust my weights even on my "light" days I'm still going to be squatting 400+, benching 300+, and deadlifting 500+.

Weight today was 198.6

Workout was,

3x5 squats @ 415lbs
3x5 paused bench @ 315lbs
3x8 leg extensions
4x8 calf raises
4x15 calf raises

Pretty decent workout. Bench felt really strong, squats were a bit rough, pushing rpe 8, and it should've been a 7, but oh well.

Weight today was 202.0

Workout was,

3x2 deadlifts @ 545lbs
3x12 lat pulldowns
2x12 seated rows
5x12 preacher curls
1x30 db curls
4x15 db curls
1x30 triceps pushdowns
4x15 triceps pushdowns

Deadlifts felt pretty good. Obviously heavy as shit, but the 2nd rep came up just as fast as the 1st on each set.

Weight today 201.6

Workout today was,

3x3 squats @ 435lbs
3x3 bench @ 335lbs
2x12 leg extensions
4x8 calf raises
4x15 calf raises

Lifts all went good, but my tendonitis flared up during squats, which made my bench feel a bit uncomfortable. The weight still moved pretty good though.

Weight today was 201.2

Workout was,

4x6 squats @ 405lbs
4x6 bench @ 305lbs
4x4 deadlifts @ 505lbs

Weights all moved pretty good. Elbow got a little sore, maybe a 1-2 out of 10, so not bad. It was gone by the time I got to deadlifts.

Weight today was 200.4

Workout was,

2x8 db bench
3x8 lat pull downs
2x8 t-bar rows
2x8 db shoulder press
5x8 hammer curls
4x10 db curls
5x8 skull crushers
4x10 triceps pushdowns

Decent hypertrophy workout. Got s good arm pump at the end.

My lifting partners want to test their maxes next week. I'm not really sure if I want to. I'm probably going to just do a bit of a deload and give my elbows a break. They're holding up decent, but the soreness is still there whenever they get a little tension on them. I'm almost tempted to go for a 405 bench, because the 1rm calculator says I'm basically there, but I'll probably just save it for the meet.

I wouldn't test this close to a meet, waste of a training session. Are you the leader? Tell them it's not time to test maxes.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I won't do it. I do make the workouts for us. I planned a deload for us, but since they're not competing at the meet, they want to try and hit some prs. Like you said, in my case it doesn't make any sense for me. I'm not even looking at any special prs anyways. Just taking the chance at failing and ruining my confidence

Elbows were feeling it pretty decent after squats. Probably a 4/10, by the end of bench it was upwards to a 6/10. Can't wait for the deload next week.. I hate high frequency training, but I never fail to get results from it so I'll keep pushing through with it after the deload.

2x12 seated cable rows
5x12 preacher curls

Definitely feeling that deload next week. Ha. Those sets of 545 were getting pretty rough. Lol.

I feel you my guy. I'm on a deload week right now. It was nice to only lift 50% for a couple reps/sets and be in and put in under a hour. How many weeks roughly until your meet?

I bet.. especially squats, they have been messing up my elbows a bit. Not quite as much as last time, but considering i bench right after them, it makes it feel uncomfortable. I think i might start benching before i squat instead, see how that feels. I have about 12.5 weeks. I figured I would probably hit it hard another 8 weeks, try to solidify a good 405+ bench, 650ish deadlift and hopefully a 585ish squat (with wraps).
