Well, it depends on what resolution you are taking your pictures at. If they
are lores (72 dpi) than you can just download them to your comp and
post them. If not, you will need some type of photo editing software
to res them down or they will be too big. I use Adobe Photoshop but
that is kind of an expensive program. There are several other less
expensive alternatives out there and I'm sure even some of the good
bros on this board could burn a copy of something for you.

i have the original cd somewhere i was just hoping there was some easy way to get that shit off my camera. The cd may be at home. Thanks for the reply

Oh, and another thing. I got a meda card reader for Christmas that
is really slick. If your camera uses a standard media card, you can
purchase one of these at Radio Shack for around $15 (with mail in
rebate). You just pull your card out of your camera, insert the
disk into the reader (which is connected to your comp with an included
usb cord) and the card shows up in "my computer" as an additional
hard drive.

now that sounds handy. good price also. so than it automatically takes the images from your media card and puts them onto your cpu? my media cards are like miniature floppy discs. called smart media cards. they can't be too smart if they can't even put themselves onto the computer though

What happens when you plug your cam into the usb and turn on the camera? If you have a program installed that can open it, then it should come up automatically. If you need photoshop I can send you 7.0. I have to check what my cam uses to download the pics. wisdom

i dont have any software that does photos on this cpu. My old cpu had my digital camera software. nothing happens when i plug it in and turn it on

Your computer will just treat the smart media card as another drive, like
a flopy or a CD. If you have XP or windows 2000, the device is plug
and play (no drivers needed). MIne comes up as (f) drive. You just double click on the icon and copy the images just as you would if it was a floppy. You
can also use your media card to transfer other files from one comp to
the other. Pretty handy little device.

OK, i got a hold of Adobe 7.0 photoshop. How do i make it take the damn pictures off of my digital camera?

What operating system are you running thick? If it's XP or 2000 you should
be able to just hook up your camera with the USB cable and access it
through "My Computer". I could be wrong, but give it a shot anyway.
If not, head down to Radio Shack and get one of those smart card readers.
Look for the ones that are USB 1.0, as those are the less expensive ones.

the easiest thing to do is to go on the website that makes your cam and just download the software from there. you can do this with all software. plus it won't cost you anything. sorry not to reply sooner, but i assumed that someone (like the first to reply) would have told you this.

Hey Thick......Looks like olympus does not have driver support for your model anymore. You could try contacting their customer service dept. Also this camera olympus d-360 L uses a serial port connection not usb . If you plan on using this camera alot I suggest you go ahead and get a usb card reader. This way you just remove the media and plug into the usb and assuming you have windows xp the system will take it from there. Serial port downloads from camera take a lot longer than usb. What os are you using if not xp?.....Peace Vegas

youll probably need the driver! search yahoo with the model number and the word driver and see if you can find a place to download it from.

PS-i hope your trying to plug into the serial port with computer off-its not usb ya know :)

ok i am a fucking idiot. i thought it was usb. ok, i have windows 98se i am getting xp sometime. that is a whole new deal of shit to go through. Radio shack isn't an option. There won't be one anywhere near me. I have been plugging the thing in with my computer on. Is this not good? thanks for the replies guys

I have the software (camedia master) on my old cpu at home. Can I put that program on a cd and put it on my new cpu? I tried it yesterday and when i put the cd that i thought i made into my new cpu and try opening it i get the message the drive or network connection that the shortcut Camedia Master 1.2 ink' refers to is unavailable. Make sure the disc is properly inserted or the network resource is available, and then try again?????????????????????
